8. Been twice. Good pizza but not great. Didn't walk away desiring more, but would choose it if I wanted pizza.

I've never eaten at the one in Starkville but the one is Jackson is good. I would put it on par with pizza shack in Jackson. I'd probably give it an 8.

6 being average to me.....I give it a 6.....

Like someone else said, I don't find myself desiring more after having it....we got it routinely in Jackson just for convenience for our kids.

Good. Thought it was tasty. I'd give an 8 and I've had brick oven pizza in NYC and deep dish in Chicago when it was -5 outside.

For Starkville Lost Pizza is probably a 7

But I might not give it that rating if there were more pizza eateries to compare it to. Outside of Starkville, especially in the Jackson area when you factor in Pizza Shack, Soulshine, Sal & Mookies, etc... I'd probably put it at a 5.

I love Pizza Shack. They put 10 pounds of delicious toppings on a awesome pizza. Hungry Howies not too bad either. Pizza Hut and Dominos have become smelly and uneatable. I was born in Michigan and have returned up north to see family from time to time. Their mom and pop pizza places in Michigan put ours here in Mississippi to shame.

Isn't there something called like Pizza 180 or something too. Sounds similar. You go through, pick out all the toppings you want on your pizza, then they cook it at high heat for 180 seconds.

I had it out West a few months ago.

7 for pizza ... 10 for spaghetti

Personally, the spaghetti at both Stromboli's and Lost Pizza is outstanding

The pizza is good from a Starkville (compared to other choices) standpoint

I've worked at pizza shack and lost pizza does not even compare

I don't think it's better than pizza shack just comparable. Pizza shack is great. My favorite in Jackson. As far as Starkville goes, I don't think you can beat the deep dish from the dark horse.

Id give the one in Jackson a solid 8-9. Real good atmosphere, service and food. Never been to the Vegas location

Lost pizza is pretty good for a pizza chain. I like it. However, if I want pizza in Starkville I'm going to City Bagel on Wed-Fri night (pizza/pasta night). From scratch crust cooked in a conveyer belt oven. Plus you can brown bag. You're welcome.

Wish we had a Hungry Howies on the coast. When I was growing up there was a small chain called Papa's Pizza. Man it was freakin good, their killer sticks were the ****.

I will never again get another pizza from Pizza Hut, Papa John's or Dominos now that we have a Hungrey Howies at the reservoir. If I'm leaving work and bringing it home it's Pizza Shack. If I'm at home and order it's Hungry Howies.

I'll also give two shouts to oldies but goodies. The original CiCi's Pizza that was in South Jackson off of McDowell Road and the old Pizza Inn restaurants.

Chain restaurants are horrible, especially ones with business models that include customized stand alone construction. There's a difference in fast food or TGIF and places like Pie Five with less than 100 locations that utilize existing construction.

If Outback wants to open in Starkville, awesome, put it in downtown. Don't build a ****** *** building with plans to abandon it in 10-15 years are built into the cost.

I'm not going to change my position on chain restaurants in Vegas and I won't spend any of my money at any when I'm there.

Its comparable, maybe not as good. Having said that, I was excited when it opened, but I had such an awful experience at the Pizza Shack in Madison that I may never go back to any location.

It may be a chain, but it's a Mississippi chain out of Indianola. There's only a handful of locations.

6.5. It's pretty good.
Dave's deep dish pizza is spectacular, but it's a rarity that I have an hour to kill waiting on a pizza. As far as picking somewhere to go eat pizza in starkville, I'd pick OVPC at least 9/10 times over lost pizza I think.

I remember when Lost (Dog) Pizza was just an idea. I was going to MDCC at the time, and was friends with people that grew up with the owners. "Wouldn't it be awesome if we had a pizza and beer place?"- options were VERY limited for a JUCO town, so this was the most awesome idea ever to all of us.

I'm proud of how their company has come along, how they've marketed and branded it, and that they followed through on a dream of theirs. I'm happy for them both, as well as the others that have bought in. Most of the other owners seem to be from the Delta, as well. I would have never imagined how wildly popular the original location would become and that it would build into the chain it has now. I don't think of it as your typical chain, personally.

As far as rating, I'd go 7.5-8 objectively. Maybe a little subjectively, too.

You need to go back and go to Antico. Best in Atlanta.

Varasano's in Atlanta. By far the best in the south.

And yes, Varasano's is very good from what I hear. Haven't been yet. For some reason they aren't open for lunch.

Gio's out in metairie is my favorite. Their red gravy is amazing. But I like the old wop pizza places better than the newer gourmet restaurants.
