On a side note if they do get him it’s going to be a lot of zone and interesting matchup. They have a 6’8 sf and 6’11 pf signed already. Going to be interesting to see how those can stay in front of Sharpe and Livingston. Spoiler alert they can’t.

It matters when you lose the recruiting battle to duke. Either cal is back to his original self pre 2015 or he’s back to the 2.0 version that couldn’t beat duke out head to head in anything. Sure we re gonna lose guys. Cunningham young mcdaniels ok I can live with them but losing out to duke is an entirely different animal one that has been a thorn to cal sense he arrived.

super team with wall cousins etc Duke wins title

2015 undefeated team Duke wins title

then since then it’s been a blood bath on the court vs Duke and in the trenches recruiting.
You just can’t be happy. I may have missed it but I don’t remember you post anything positive when he got the #1 and number 6 recruit. You are pathetic. And this is about being a cal lover or cal hater this just about constantly trying to bring everything down to your misery level.

ANNNND another crystal ball to Duke last night from Chad Lykins, with a confidence level of 7. Mods need to lock these threads, because the chances of us getting him right now are zilch to none, and the sooner you all realize this, the better off you all will be.
Are these the same guys who previously gave UK 100% chance of getting him? This sounds a lot like weather forecasting. A slim chance of snow until it becomes a 100% chance after it has already started snowing. After the kid announces it, they will all get it right with a 100% chance of the kid going to the place he just announced. SEE HOW SMART They ARE!!!!!

In my opinion they shouldn't be able to flop picks. Once you put something down it's locked in. Then they would be taken more seriously

Man I’m praying John Calipari shows up to Lively’s home with at least double the McDonald’s Duke is offering, I’m tired of seeing that school buy recruits.

I think people are wrong and we will still have the better recruiting class, but it would just be nice to make a statement on a player we’re head to head on.

This has to be the dumbest post of the year. As a player, he is one of my least favorite players, but to insinuate that he is dumb, you can only dream of being as successful off the court. He is probably one of the smartest players business wise to play the game. His mentor is Warren Buffett.

His business success off the court is probably unmatched. Before you mention Jordan, his success primarily came from his willingness to allow Phil Knight to make their fortune via Nike sweatshops, but I realize that I have digressed.

Guess you missed the part where Lebron is always pretending to read important books, but never seems to get beyond page 1.

These jokes were brought on by Lebron himself and have nothing to do with people attacking his intelligence. Although one could argue you may be lacking if you feel the need to pretend to be seeking knowledge. Just sayin…

But then again in recruiting things change. I think if they get different information they should be able to update their prediction.

What they should do tho is not make these predications public until the kid actually announces. Then there will be no copying. But that's obviously less interesting cause the public won't be able to see the picks until after the fact as well.

Duke recruits with a checkbook, Coach Ratface being gone doesn’t change their ability to write checks.

I’m just not that concerned about it, I think it’s us, but if it isn’t we have a different top 10 big man lined up.
Don’t need to write checks, kids can get it with the NIL. Fans for all blue bloods will have to find a new gimmick to make them feel better if their team losses a recruit to another team

Watch as soon as Lively commits to Duke he will takeover the number one ranking and Shaedon will drop, not that it matters to me but I’m sure it’s an honor thing amongst the players
If it makes/keeps him hungry, I have no issues if he drops. Once a player chooses UK, I am not concerned about his individual honors; it should be all about the team. If the team does well, the players will get all the credit they need/deserve.

My guess is that the only books Lebron really cares about are the ones that captures his nearly 1 billion financial standing.

Very true, which has exactly zero to do with his intelligence. That man couldn’t run an ice cream truck without his handlers doing it for him.

He has god like bball ability, and apparently great people handling him so they can make their own coin. Take bball away and he’s nothing.

I do find it entertaining just how personally you take this though. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by the reaction from someone named LMCard.

I'd obviously prefer the future top 5 pick if given the choice. It is what it is at this point. Duke continues to own us on the trail. Cal's pitch dies a violent death on this hill every time we face off against them.
It’s basically two new staffs going against each other. Duke winning out in the past is irrelevant against our new staff. Same with them being without K after this year. Kentucky will win plenty of battles. And the fact that we wrapped up the #1 guy means Cal does have the Swag back. You can’t get every recruit. Duke is also elite. But we can get top recruits again

Wow, you got me on that one. Man, it shows that you read lots of books. Have you read Green Eggs and Ham?

You are the one who has this personal thing with Lebron and it has nothing to do with basketball.

I ain’t gonna lie if Schyer out recruits Cal on lively this board is gonna flip.
He ain't got anything to do with it. US basketball, Nike, and who knows who else is doing the recruiting for him. No way a first year coach that has never been a head coach gets recruits like this, I don't care what school he's at. They are cheating. Period.

Bruh your on tape paying Zion, don’t gotta worry about doing commercials for petty NIL cash when you got free real estate and more money than the G-League can offer in Durham.

Hey don’t worry though you lil *****, Duke been sucking the past 2 years with the best recruits, that ain’t gonna change promoting ratface junior to head coach. Y’all still gonna underperform.

Maybe this new duke coach can start scheduling UK so next season we can go and wipe the floor with them in their little high school gym. As well as thrashing them here on nov

If we are playing four out and one in. Do we really need a 7-ft one guy who wants to shoot jumpers on the perimeter? This guy is a great player, but he is not a make it or break it.

I posted about this very thing, Lively doesn’t want to play center and Cal took a commitment from Livingston sold on the small ball four so where would Lively play?

This. I would have wanted Lively at the 4 and Bona at the 5. Apparently, Cal wants Livingston at the 4, and Lively or Bona at the 5.

As long as we get Bona, then it’s all good. Bona is the better overall inside presence, IMHO. Lively has the skills and range to be an incredible stretch 4. He has the shot blocking skills to play the 5 as a rim protector on defense, but I’m not sure about on offense. Bona has the muscle to bang inside. If we are going 4 out, we need a bruiser inside, IMHO.
