I don't think you’re getting too old, I just think the mushroom treatment we have been getting the last 6 years has gotten very old. Nobody likes to be consistently kept in the dark and fed sh*t, then have the rug pulled out from under them.
Yeah. It used to be another really fun aspect of being a Kentucky fan. The last several years, it hasn't been there.

We've had so much "Done deal" that doesn't pan out. We've gotten highly ranked guys that don't pan out. It's just hard to believe anything anymore and it's hard to get excited.

Yet we have supposed "UK Fans" in here chastising those of us that are calling a spade… a spade and telling us we really should be walking the company line like they are. Such BS.

I'm not even sure Lively even knows where he's going yet, so I have no clue how anyone else would know.
Yeah, I agree. That's kind of what I was getting at near the end of my statement. I'm not sure if these people are making predictions based on how much interest a player has expressed, things they have posted, or just sheer gut feeling, but there are people out there with pretty good track records with their predictions.

Well, I hope the staff lands him. It looks like Cal is sticking with the one-and-done method, if so, he HAS to land these top shelf guys. Cal's 2nd and 3rd options aren't going to cut it.

Matt Jones said on KSR today that Sharpe was a lock to UK, and he thinks it happens by Sunday. Said Wallace would be a little later, probably mid September, but he loves UK's chances to get him. He did say he would visit Tennessee this weekend though.

It would be nice if Cal got his mojo back and started taking other school's locks. Wallace would be a solid get plus would tick off UTenn.

Wallace has a date set to announce so that would be a weird statement if he said that about Wallace.

Hopefully we get Sharpe, Wallace, and Lively or Bona to go with Fredrick, Allen, Hopkins, and Ware. Add a few transfers to round out the roster. I think that’s a winning combo.

I would expect Wheeler back as well...and we have no clue on Toppin/Brooks/Collins.

I would love to see the day where Cal walks in and the other coach just leave. Like it used to be

Do it.

[banana]

Edit: Does the banana not work?
I miss that little dude. Sometimes when it’s really appropriate I’ll Google “dancing banana” and copy/paste the gif.

And I think this is an appropriate occasion.

A real top 5 player.

I could get used to this again after years of Skal, Boston, and missing on every elite who is worthy of starting as a freshman at Kentucky.
Yeah but people thought Boston was a real top 5 player . You just never know

See you get a kid like Sharpe, along with what the roster is looking like, I think you immediately become the top team in the nation. I know there will be pressure but that shouldn't be an excuse either. There will be high standards and rightfully so, because this would be the most talent on campus in at least 4 years.
If Sharpe commits with the returning players (Wheeler, Allen, Fredrick, Ware and maybe Brooks) Lose TyTy, Mintz, Grady, Collins and Toppin) on the fence (Oscar and Brooks) with the incoming guys we should be strong.

I would say it is unlikely Wheeler would come back. He’s a senior right? 5th year guys are rare they typically want to move on with their lives.

Where would Wheeler go?

Heck, Mintz is coming back for year 6, so I don't know why Wheeler wouldn’t. He isn’t going to the NBA, so he might as well play it out at UK before he goes to China.

Me either. Because it wasn’t said.
Wheeler declared for the draft this season. When they told him to return he said he expects to play 1 season and then in 2022 fulfill his pro ball dream.I'll look for the link. This was before he announced his UK decision.I remember reading it and thinking he was out of touch with the reality of his situation.
