Jones said on KSR that a few of the guys weren't going to be in town, so it's being rescheduled. Sounds like some of you want this to fail.

So if KSr said. I'm sure it's factual and not trying to spin this so it doesn't look like a failure....but yeah it's the fans fault.
Idk if it’s anyone’s fault. It’s just the reality. And to be frank you don’t have to spend money you don’t want to but some you appear to want these kids to fail and I’m not sure why. But to each his own.
I think you're sort of misinterpreting some of the push back as wanting the kids to fail. That's not it.
Can Jones be incorrect? Sure. I'm just telling you what he said, which was some of the players weren't going to be there. Does rescheduling the event until next month equal failure in your view? I also never said it was the fan's fault.
Fair point. Used to though, UK could have scheduled an event at 1pm on a Tuesday in August and it would have been sold out. Fan passion has been waining for a while because of several factors. Last season was the culmination of things that has caused fans to be hesitant to get invested.
Seems like they would have asked them if they were going to be in town before it was ever set up in the first place. I know if I were organizing an event revolving around 12 people that is the first thing I would check.
True, again, just passing along what Jones said. I don't have a dog in the fight. Just a little odd that we see a tweet about the event being postponed, and not long after someone here posts that it's canceled due to lack of interest, so now according to this thread, the event is canceled and not going to happen and it's a failure on Cal and Mitch's part.
USA basketball thread played out the same way. They're going nowhere, they're losers, they're embarrassments. Couple weeks later they win Gold. Sometimes these threads get ahead of themselves.
I always hate seeing people blame UK fans for our historic lack of football success. We showed up and packed the stadium for 2 win seasons. We care. It's not basketball only in this state.
