Saw a meme the other day on IG that said something to the effect of "In 40-50 years, it will be like, "Hey, meet my Grandpa Brayden"
Was both funny, and sad -- i get things evolve...but, just something about those classic grandparent/great & great aunt/uncle names.
Mine: Stanley, Charlotte, Eugene, Ruth, Sue, Adrian (lol), Delores, Bob, Maxine, Emiline, Harold, Gloria.
Parents are Stuart, Christine, Uncle Ben...
...and Preston (my stepdad), which is funny b/c that's almost considered a meme prep name now. He's a lifelong farmer, and the biggest good ole boy/salt-of-the-earth unpretentious redneck on planet earth.

My experience is that Aunt Jeanne is always the fun aunt.

Really thought you were going to go throw the compliment to my Uncle Tom though.
Calling somebody an Uncle Tom is a slur, Tommy. That's not what I'm about.

My paternal grandparents were named Mildred and Earl. Two of the best humans beings to ever walk this earth.
I had an Gpa Earl and his Mom Mildred. They were awful human beings. Scum of the scum.
Went to my oldest preschool orientation this evening. Outside of all the emotions that I went through processing that I have a child old enough for school and that time is quickly passing by, I scanned the names.
Lots of classic old school names are coming back, meaning that when they’re 40 they’ll think names like “Jack” and “Lilah” are boring AF and they’ll associate Jaxson and Braydon with their badass grandpa who knows how to drive a stick and was born before the internet.

My grandpa Rufus thinks future grandpa Brayden is a puss.
89 years old, ornery as hell, and told me he was happy with his Kroger butter pecan ice cream when my mom and I offered him Graeters this weekend. That’s insane, but that’s Rufus. He also loves the football Cayts more than Freddie Maggard, probably, and was a season ticket holder til his body told him no more stadium trips. OG.
