I picked UK because

1. Baskeeball
2. They gave me money

Also I grew up in broke-*** Pike County. Lexington marcus have been NYC to me and it never occurred to me to look outside the state. My dad/family knew absolutely nothing about college, how to apply, etc. I did everything myself. I will be sure to repeatedly tell my children this for the next 8 years.

The college fund for my kids will be, at best, $10k for each of them. I’m a poor (by gyero standards).

And I won’t even be pushing college on them unless/until they know what they want to do. Too much time and (more importantly) money is wasted trying to figure out a career. I’ll send their asses to community college for a bit. Otherwise it’s scholarship or GTFO, toots.

Was at Camelot West back in the day, and a stripper had a C section scar on her belly, and a tampon string hanging out of her G-string.

A guy I was with thought it would be a good idea to try and LIGHT the tampon string with his BIC.

"Tiny", the bouncer, took exception, and opened the exit door with my friend's head.

(as he should have)
Probably better than if he tried to light it with his DIC, I am sure. Getting JUST thrown out would have been the least of his worries, STD's and all.

Hey Rogue, what is the weather / temp. in Key West today ? Any beach volley ball today ? How many hoes you got lined up ? How is the Scoot Scoot ? What time is the workout ? What do you and the boys got planned for the weekend ? Just trying to get it all in response so MAYBE you will slow TF down on the rapid post of the glorifying life of a bartender who shares housing / bills with his "buddies". TIA. Did I miss anything ?

I could stay at home and go to UL, or I could go to UK and my dad offered to help but my mom didn’t trust me in the dorms. So they convinced themselves paying my rent in Lexington was the best thing for me.

So I went to UK like wanted in a better situation than I expected, and because I was a wild *** teenager out of sight out of mind is what my parents went with.

I got to UK not knowing a thing but was involved in a fight that ended up having me run over where I got paid $10,000 before I stepped foot on campus.

Then my financial advisor explained student loans and somehow I was drawing $2000 every few months for “expenses”.

No one taught me anything about that and so I finished with way more debt than I should have.

Ended up in a ton of legal trouble and dropped out.

All that to say this, at 18 your kids need your help. They may not like it but I wish my parents helped me besides just throwing rent money to get me out of town.

Sounds more exciting than me working 30 hours a wk at K-Lair and then summers at the Toyota plant to pay for 1/2 of all my expenses. Parents paid the rest. $0 debt.

Would crush some spicy chicken fingers right now though!

Cut_itloosedoubledeuce’s handle got me reminiscing on number 22. He was one of the most genuinely kind persons I ever met. At some point in high school I was with a crew that ended up with him at a Newport pizza joint after a house party. The dude’s order was a large za, and he housed it all. I was just a dork from his rival high school, but he didn’t give a ****. We talked about the brilliance of the Deuce deep over the middle to Craig Yeast most of the night.

I wasn’t close with him or anything, don’t mean to insinuate otherwise, but every time I crossed paths with him in high school, I was just genuinely impressed with how good of a dude he was. I hope he’s in peace. Miss that dude so much.

This is for GOLFyero, but I couldn’t find it

I was at a poorly attended (mini) family reunion at a state park and we ended up with the same fivesome playing the same course, two days in a row. I barely broke 100 both times, but my partner (uncle) shot a smooth 143 and 152 that were probably really 170’s.

And we played through a slower group today.

Just a great time out on the course to recharge the batteries, IMO.

How many dumbasses named Mark post in here? At least two. Who else?

I’ve been thinking about this, and I can’t say I’ve ever known a good Mark. Most are/were ********, one was just kind of a zero. But he also preferred to be called Markuss (yes, two S’s), so that should tell you all you need to know.

Edit - also, Mark Pope. Huge *******. Every time Llama mentions him as a potential future UK coach, a small part of me dies. Also, he’s a converted Mormon now, and has three wives. Did you all hear that?

I was there during this time. First year I worked the grill. Next 3 years, i did all the ordering and the inventory in the back. Fall of 2000 thru spring of 2004
Yeah nice, that’s funny. I basically talked the manager Doug into just letting me sweep and mop most of the time, take some trash out here and there so I could watch tv and talk to the gals.

Can I replace whoever was on the card to fight you the other day?

Doug!! Haha, I was just talking about him to another K-Lair buddy who was down here visiting last wk. He also informed me he and the night crew were responsible for all the porn viruses on my computer. Haha!

Absolutely. My sole objective is to beat the living dog **** out of Wayne Dougan, so the undercard isn’t a huge concern.

In all seriousness, you strike me as a very good dude in real life, rogue, and I’m sure we would enjoy each other’s company. Your posting does leave something to be desired, though.

Kisses.

Never liked him, Chad. Always rubbed me the wrong way. But, titles are titles. There is truth in that.

The polygamy is sinful, tho.

Ha. My mom just won the $10K raffle at our parish festival. Guess she’s paying for brunch after mass tomorrow morning.

Speaking of church, my favorite thing about Sunday morning Mass was always easing my hangover by taking an extry long drink of the Blood of Christ at communion. Since covid began, it’s put a little hitch in my step, as there is still no wine :(

The best thing about Sunday church is the brunch afterwards. Immediately order an extra spicy, double Stoli bloody. Eat some smoked salmon and capers, get home around 1. Crack a beer, put on some tunes, and work on the boys’ laundry. Grill food. Clean up. Get the Sunday scaries. Drink the Sunday scaries away. Wake up Monday cursing myself.

My mom is a saint for putting up with my ******** for 39 years.

How about these Redlegs. This is a tight one. Great game. I love watching Miley throw.

Bruce Hornsby - severely underappreciated artist. Pull up “Here come the noisemakers”, live from 1999. Won’t disappoint. I suspect August and maybe Todd saw him playing with the Dead in the early 90’s. Would kill to be at one of those shows.

In one week I am approaching my two year anniversary of being cig free. Best thing I ever did. The last time I smoked a cig, my oldest son caught me afterwards and said “daddy you smell like cigarettes.” I decided right then and there that that would never happen again. And it hasn’t, and it never will again.

Sorry about the Mark Pope slander, Chad. That really was uncalled for and inappropriate. Llama just pisses me off so bad.

Where you at, Wayne? *****. I’m typing in Norton Commons into my google maps right now. 90 minutes. Your only hope is that Bernie intercepts me first and we get Bernie crunk. In which case I’ll kick your *** tomorrow morning, after I partake of the Blood of Christ, of course.

Spent some quality time in Versailles and Midway last week shooting commercials for those same people that PTI's Grandpa did not care for.

What a gorgeous area. I mean, I already knew Versailles was amazing with all of the horse farms but Midway was a pleasant surprise for me. What a great little town and nice people.

The only day we actually took time to have something other than a quick box lunch, we ate at the Brown Barrel. They had a fantastic, but overpriced, bourbon selection in the middle of the restaurant. Several bottles of Krazy's Down Home were on the shelf marked anywhere from $135 - $195.

We had some roads blocked off from time to time, so I only hope it didn't inconvenience any Gyero peeps too much, other than geese feeder, of course.

Man, my boy DaBaby got kicked out of Lalapalooza for being homophobic. Have they listened to his music? He sings about murdering people. But saying “don’t suck dick in the parking” lot is beyond the pale!
