I suppose I'd rather be called "clown" as opposed to "a$$ clown." Fear not, Matt will be back soon enough, Irish. And frankly, your criticism is fair - too verbose early in the broadcast. Noticed the same thing when I watched the replay. Hope you will watch in the future, be it Matt or the clown. Bulldogg31, thanks for the kind words. It's natural. I used to do high school basketball during playoff season. Your first tendency is to try and fill any empty space. I did the same thing in my first few broadcasts till the boss told me I was doing just fine but I needed to relax and slow down.

I do play-by-play for a 5A Mississippi high school football program. I watched the games and thought you did a good job.

I do play-by-play for Starkville High School and this year I also did play-by-play for the SEC Network + for volleyball and some pxp and color for men's and women's basketball. Saturday was my first baseball game. Baseball was definitely a different feel. Perhaps to the consternation of Irish, I'll do another 7 or 8 baseball games this season as color.
