@ralphdaltonfan mentioned this in another thread. Justus was trolled by Mike Boynton and he told Kyle Tucker.

Boynton and Oklahoma State trolled the entire program and only a jackass would think Cade wasn't going to Oklahoma State (not talking recruiting people either--talking staff members). I laugh at the "he committed on visit" stuff--great--and so do about 90% of recruits who take visits anywhere. Then they get home and visit wears off.

The OSU staff completely trolled UK with the chess stuff--and you have Justus kissing Boynton's *** about issues this offseason. That guy needs to have been gone but at least ship his *** out of Lexington the minute this dreadful season ends. He's the leak in the program as well. Loves to run his yapper to media and everyone and it gets back to people it shouldn't and they use things he says against UK in recruiting.

Coaches and recruits are rubbing Cal's face in his arrogant a$$. Payback for all Cal's blather when he was getting ALL the top recruits.

I hope someone writes the truth someday about what really happened behind the scenes that precipitated the downfall of Cal's ability to sign the top players.

Cal didn't just suddenly forget how to recruit. He obviously pi$$ed in somebody's Cherrios that led to the downfall of Cal and UK being the top destination for top recruits.

I think a bunch of schools started paying for recruits, and Cal didn't. It's really the only explanation that makes sense to me.

The shoe companies (and some agents) lock up all of the top recruits on the AAU circuit. They pay whatever it takes to whomever is handling these future stars and direct them to the schools they think have the best chance to get their stars to the league so that they can recapture their investment with interest when these kids sign their NBA contract.

Boosters no longer have to ante up big bucks for recruits like in the past. That way, coaches have plausible deniability and schools can stay above the dirt.

If you have been paying attention to the FBI tapes, the coaches have been caught negotiating with the shoe company reps for more money or perks for their recruits.

Its all shady, and every coach that gets these top kids have to deal with the external handlers, whether they are shoe companies, agents, or just family and friends to keep everyone happy and QUIET.

When you see coaches playing kids that makes absolutely no sense, there is usually strings attached.

Someone posted on here ( possibly ralfdaultonfan) the whole story about WWW and Lebron having a falling out and how it affected Cals recruiting. It was a fantasizing story and TOTALLY made sense. I would probably butcher the details so I won’t even attempt to tell it . Plus NIKE started guiding kids to duke and that pissed Cal off so he declined to play in the Phil Knight tournament which pissed off Phil Knight and made matters even worse .

Swaggy Cal jerked a lot of the wrong powerful people off and they pulled the rug out from under him.
Now they are mocking and laughing at him. Unfortunately UK is suffering the consequences.

You're correct he didn't just forget. It's called caple became an assistant again and nike shipping players to duke. Caple is a cheat everywhere he lands

Really? Cal, the guy that a title vacated suddenly developed an epic moral compass? Please. Look at him. He’d sell his own mother down the river during a press conference. The answer is actually simpler. Other programs actually just started adopting the one and one approach to recruiting. It’s easy to be king of the mountain when no one else is climbing up. Now everyone goes after those players. That’s the simplest and

Nike. When Cal didn't play in the Phil Knight kiss up tournament, they shut us off and paid the guys to go other places. Look at Reddish and Zion with Duke

Dave just says the kentucky staff fells good about every player and people bite hook line and sinker every time. He said two days ago that same thing about Kofi. Literally two hours later it came out the staff has barely takes to him. Either he’s just making it up or his source is the worst source in the history of sh:77y sources.

called Cunningham for Kentucky? Does he still have a job?

That was actually credible info and there were many talking and there were many Talking Heads that felt that way as well. But recruiting is fluid and when the family met it all we met it all came down to UK or family.

Once a recruit or transfer commits to UK is the only way I will get my hopes up about a player. Now we can dream about every top player coming here but until he is here it is a nightmare on this site.

I think Aaron Torres got the Kofi to Kentucky going inadvertently by saying that was the word at the aau events from some assistant coaches.

Most of the usual suspects had Cade to Kentucky. The only serious analyst, with real connections, who maintained the whole time Cunningham was going to Oklahoma State was Dave Sisk.
That isn't true. There were a couple others. Believe Andrew Slater always had him going to OSU.

I literally said the entire time Cade was not coming to Kentucky. It was obvious and many people knew there was no way he was coming.

That recruitment showed me Cal was not the Cal of old anymore. The old Cal would have smelled that miles away and backed away.

Justus was the worst assistant we’ve ever had under Cal, and considering Flint is on staff, that’s hard to believe. It was the move to promote and retain Justus that also leads me to believe Cals time at UK is just a matter of time type scenario. The war he made with Nike showed his ego was just too out of control for the job. The moves to get Chin and Antigua tell me he knows he’s in trouble and needed something to change quick.

I just don’t like the vibe I get from Cal these days. We’ll see where it goes.

It was a long drawn out thread on here. Unless I see the recruit himself say he's coming to UK, I don't buy into all this stuff.
They had Haarms all but on campus last year. Virtually the same exact scenario as with Kofi. They just don't know, but the thing that bothers me is that they keep doing it over and over.
