"You guys need to relax" is code for "PANIC!!!" Kyler Murray is the top-rated QB in the country. At Allen HS, he went undefeated as a starter, finishing his career 63-0.

He's the son of Kevin Murray, one of the Texas A8M all-time great QB's from the 1980's (one of Jackie Sherrill's QB's).

He is Kevin Sumlin's Anchor Recruit.

However, it appears that the in-home visit from Kevin Sumlin didn't go well. He's still committed to Aggieland, but this past week he took a trip to Austin just to check out the facilities. It would've gone un-noticed except someone posted this pic on twitter:

That would be like one of Archie's grandchildren posting a mississippi State uniform. This looks to be a "Peyton to Tennessee" on steroids.

Please let this happen. It will make a lot of A&M recruits question why in the hell that kid is going elsewhere.

And we wouldn't have to face the #1 qb. I really think this kid should go to ut

How does an inhome visit with a legacy not go well? Please tell me that they didn't offer him a grayshirt or to change positions.

My girlfriend's brother's cousin said that things were going well and then Sumlin busted out with "You want me to smile for you? You want me to shine your shoes?"

Correction- The Unconfirmed Rumor from Unreliable Sources say that Diddy Kevin and Kevin Sumlin didn't take a liking to each other.

His father was an excellent qb for Coach Sherrill at TAMU back in the day, but he was also the epicenter of the NCAA recruiting crack down at TAMU, which subsequently led to Coach Sherrill's demise there. Kevin Murray was unable to finish his career at A&M, which was due to a combination academic and other problems if I recall correctly. It was a shame that it all came down the way it did because Coach Sherrill would have had a NC caliber team that next year.

I heard it has to do with Murray wanting to play baseball too. Sumlin said no. Strong said its no problem.

Murray will go pretty high in the draft, I believe.

Not that I know anything

but any recruit that does not develop about two other options, is an idiot, or being improperly advised.

Everyone needs a backdoor.

Grades, slightly less than expected performance, injury questions...about anything might get in the way.

Carry On!

My guess is his parents see him as a commodity and Sumlin sees him as a student athlete. Other than that offering, I have no idea. #rentedmule

I've seen Allen and I'm not scared of him. I'd rather take my chances with just him rather than both

If i was drafted top 15 in mlb draft, there's no way I go play college football. What position?

So, he will only get worse? Allen put up good numbers in 3 of his last 4 games, having played sparingly in the first half of the year as a tFR.

Murray will redshirt and then ride the pine for two years before he sees the field. But you ain't skert of nutin'. I got it.

Murray is a better dual threat imo.

The whole point was they got Allen. I don't want them to have another #1 qb. Does it benefit it us for them to get Murray too? No, it doesn't. Why are we arguing?

5'10" 180 5 Star? That's unusual

My thoughts exactly. especially when referring to a QB. Kid must have go go gadget legs to be able to throw over the grown *** men aTm has on their line and wheels/moves better than johnny football.

I know the competition is better but his tape reminds me of Dylan Farve's.

10 minutes of a 5'9" dude throwing for 100 TD's and running around like crazy.

Yeah but against top tier Texas HS football. Kyler Murphy's tape is damn impressive and he's a winner, size be damned.

Wait a minute. Was there a chance the qb situation would be Kyle and... Kyler. Would next year's can't miss prospect have to be named Kylest?
