So are Cal and some of you fans thirsting for starting 5 freshmen 5 stars who will not win it all and then leave after 1 year?

Well of course. Remember you have to get the “best” players whether they can actually play or not.
It’s a crapshoot anyway, but I’ll take my chances with talent. When we were getting the top players 2010-2015 we had a much better record then when we were loaded with nonfreshman. Give me talented freshman and some guys via the transfer portal.

Kentucky may actually "Eat First" once again after a 7 year hiatus.
7 years ? LOL. Guess you forgot a few years.

2017 - Ranked #2 - 6 five stars, including PJ, Nick Richards, Hami, and 4 star SGA. Now some guys did not live up to their ranking, but we signed a strong class and was thought to be very strong. Knox didn't have the elite year he was supposed to so it hurt this class. ANYTIME you sign 6 five stars, you ate really good.

2016 - Ranked #2 - Fox, Bam, and Monk. All 3 where elite ranked and elite players.

2015 -Ranked #1.- Murray Skal (He was a bust, but #1 ranked player), Briscoe, and other players highly ranked and everyone wanted.

2014 - Ranked #2. - KAT, Trey Lyles, Ulis, and Booker. All 4 great players, combined with the hold over players from 2013 class, UK was 10-11 deep.

2013 - Ranked #1. - Randle, Twins, Dakari, James Young. Can't say this class was not loaded. Had two local guys Willis and Hawkins and also had Marcus Lee.

So we to just not recruit the best players we can? Then that means we will win more? Not sure how that's gonna work.

You need a balance.

We don’t win the title in 2012 without superstar Freshmen AD and MKG.

We also don’t win it all without a Senior Miller and super Sophs Lamb and Jones.

Give me 2-3 of those top ten OAD guys, plus 3-4 upperclassmen returning, and fill in the blanks with transfers and multi year recruits.

That’s the recipe, IMHO.
