Players off this team who will get an NFL shot or drafted this year: McKinney,

P. Smith, K. Eulls, PJ Jones, Day, Beckwith, J-Rob, J. Cox, M. Johnson, Clausell, Tubby, Wells....12 players. Pretty crazy. I mean a shot as in undrafted FA, NFL workouts and actual draftees.

Here's my list:

Drafted: 6 (McKinney, P. Smith, K. Eulls, Beckwith, J-Rob, Wells)

Undrafted FA:4 (PJ Jones, M. Johnson, Tubby, Day)

Outside Shot/Tryouts: 2 (J. Cox, Clausell)

Hey call me a homer but I did predict 10-2 bitches!

I think Beckwith is a longshot to get drafted. That OL from Bama who played 3 different positions and won 3 titles and was an All American multiple times didn't get drafted, and they're very similar players. He'll make a roster as a practice squad guy, but I wouldn't hold my breath on him making the 53 man any time soon.

If you are referring to Barrett Jones, he was actually a 4th round pick by the St. Louis Rams.

As for Beckwith, you may be right. However, it would be better for him to be undrafted than get selected in the 7th round. That way, he could pick the team that will offer him a contract because he should garner some decent attention IMO. I think him having a chip on his shoulder could be a big boost for him.

So did the charges against Cox get dropped?? Because I can't imagine any team considering him for even a tryout after being arrested for domestic violence just 2 months ago.

Is it the kid from Starkville that I'm thinking of then?

I think Clausell is almost a lock for a practice squad. He's never been a superstar by any means but he graded out pretty great his final 3 years.

Clausell, really? He's good, he's good for 2 penalties and 2 sacks or badly missed blocks a game. He's probably a great kid but I'm looking forward to a new face in the anchor position.

I think he's done ok. He's held his own against some DE's now in the NFL, so based on his highlight reel and measurables I think he'll hang around some practice facilities for a couple of seasons.

I'm with you though, I'm looking forward to having a new tackle.

I think Wells will get drafted in the 5th or 6th round and debut as a safety.

Wells is a good player and will be a combine freak. That's where most think his stock will rise.

I think Wells is blind in one eye or close

To it. I'm not sure what bearing that will have. It doesn't seem to hurt him too much to this point. I agree his speed will turn some heads.

What? I never heard he could not see out of one eye. How does he play at state for several years and this not be common knowledge....that said i hope he has a long nfl career. And think he will. #speedwins.

It doesn't get talked about a lot, but I thought most people knew. I guess most didn't. But here's confirmation for those who need it.
or taking a chance on a safety/linebacker tweener who is 80 percent blind in one eye (Matt Wells).

Not a chance after Ray Rice and the NFL's current campaign against domestic violence. Cox did a real nice job of completely shitting on his future.

Agreed. His biggest problem is that he was never consistent from game to game. His best game absolutely gives him a shot at at least a practice squad.
