Jimmy Butler trash talking KAT.

Jimmy Butler doesn't care how tough of a year KAT has had. During the game you can hear Butler talking trash and Butler tells KAT he's "soft as a baby's a__" and "I punked you"... wasn't joking either. Bomani Jones was saying Butler cannot stand KAT and doesn't care what he's went through this year.

Fightin' words. KAT going to have to do something about that.

I love KAT but no one gets a free pass just because they’ve had a “tough year.”

After reading some of the stories that have come out about KAT, I'm 100% on Butlers side. He's had a tough year and sounds like a genuinely good guy, but he's he's horrible teammate.

Id love to have seen Butler pull that **** with Magliore.
That’s just it, Butler wouldn’t have pulled that **** with Magloire. He wouldn’t have felt that way about Magloire.

We all feel bad for what KAT has gone through over the past year but Jimmy Butler’s feeling on KAT far pre date the COVID year. Jimmy is a killer and he’s not going to let up on KAT out of pity.

4 years ago KAT was ahead of the Greek Freak and AD on many “who would you start a franchise with today?” lists when GMs were asked the question. Now is he even top 10? You have to ask yourself why have GMs changed course so much on KAT. That’s not Jimmy Butler’s fault.

Someone fill me in on why KAT is a poor team mate; or why GM’s would not want to start a franchise with him? I don’t follow nba closely enough to know this? I knew some considered him soft, but I’ve never actually watched his team play. Not one time. If I watch nba - it’s usually Heat, Lakers, Jazz, Nuggets, Knick’s, pelicans, Clippers. These are my 9 year old sons favorite teams. Someone give me info? Please..

Different upbringing. Jimmy grew up hard. Go read the dudes story, pretty remarkable that he made it to the NBA. Those that come up this way have difficulty with the privileged. If there is a silver lining, I believe Butler saw what we all see in KAT, the talent is there but he doesn’t have the personality/killer instinct to lead an organization to a championship.

In pro team sports, if you're perceived as being "soft" players will try to use that to gain an advantage.

How many championship rings does Butler have? KAT led us to 38 straight wins and while we unfortunately lost one game it wasn’t because of KAT. And please notify me the next time any college team wins 38 straight. Won’t happen.

I love everyone acting like KAT doesn’t have ‘it’ simply because he’s not leading one of the worst franchises to ever exist to titles. The dudes averaging 25/11/4 and still getting trashed. Anthony Davis with New Orleans is a prime example of being stuck in a **** hole until he got on a good team.

Getting 10 rebounds a game isn’t indicative of a player who is really soft imo. Put Karl on a contending team and I think he is a big help. Put Butler on the Timberwolves roster and he doesn’t win ****. No matter how much of a bad *** he thinks he is.

  • These are the T-Wolves records in the years KAT has been there. You want to guess which year Jimmy Butler was there?

Butler has been on 3 teams in the last 3 seasons and has had issues with every damn one of them. The Heat aren't looking as good this year and now, like clockwork, Butler is starting to show signs of imploding again. By this time next year he is likely on team #4. Dude is just a ****** person and a ****** teammate.

To be clear I’m a KAT fan, but Jimmy Butler is not alone in the league in calling him soft. It’s going to be up to KAT to change that narrative.

I don’t know, but I know Jimmy Butler continues to win where he goes and the only time KAT has won was with Jimmy Butler on his team.
Jimmy Butler is a good player. So typically when he goes to a team they also have at least one other really good player which makes that team better. KAT is a really good player, but he relies on a dog **** terrible franchise to put good players with him.

Different makeup of the roster. And without Towns not on Butlers team, they wouldn’t have won 25 games. How do you not see that?
How do I not see it?

I’m not alone here. These thoughts on KAT are pretty widespread around the league. Again, it’s going to be up to him to change that.

Either put a competent roster around Towns or trade him to a contender and then you will have your answer. Put Butler on this team and take away Towns and they haven’t won 15 games.

Maybe, maybe not. All we know is what’s happened. NBA guys are not in love with Towns right now. Maybe he needs a change of scenery.

It’s pretty easy to dog a guy who has only ever played on a bad team/organization. There’s only maybe a handful of guys in the league that would’ve led those Timberwolves teams to a better record if you replace them for Towns.
