We’ve all noticed lately that his recruiting goes the way of his assistants and he doesn’t seem to call recruits much himself. (Maybe the not calling himself is a rumor? Maybe he preferred in person and coronavirus stopped that?)
We’ve definitely learned from the departures of Strickland, Antigua, and Payne that it was principally not Cal himself but rather key assistants who mostly did the player development magic.
We’ve always said he didn’t really do Xs and Os and we give him a pass on that.
So that leaves….teaching man-to-man switching D and sort of an offense? And marketing?
Anything else?
