Im in the minority but give me CJ and Wheeler and Mintz returning and im happy. Penetration/passing and perimeter scoring boost. We could ride out until seeing if a guy like Carr or someone else pulls out. Thats fine for me.
I’m as big of a UK fan as anyone. But when Cal came here from Memphis and basically brought in his entire class everyone including myself was absolutely fine with it. Now people are saying if Hickman ends up with Justus it’s criminal.
Then there are people saying these recruits build their relationships with the assistants anyway so it’s understandable with Barbee and Justus gone they might not want to come here anymore. So why didn’t Wall and Cousins stay at Memphis?
This is just a crock of crap IMO that people are using to cover for us losing a recruit.
We may end up better off without Hickman, but we don’t know that at this minute. If you tried to tell someone that Saban was going to lose recruits because of staff changes, or that players were going to Bama because of relationships they’d built with an assistant coach and not to play for Saban and Alabama they’d laugh at you.

Hickman is likely headed to Zona with TyTy. They have expressed an interest in playing together, it's on the West Coast, they brought in the Gonzaga recruiter as their new HC and it appears to be Tyty's pick at this point. I'm sure AZ STATE will offer though.

Do you honestly believe that these will be his numbers at UK for the upcoming season if he does come here? He will be surrounded by shooters and better post play, If you honestly believe that 22% from 3 and 3rd in the country in turnovers will happen then I don't know what else to say (32%, less than 3 TO's a game the year with Anthony Edwards). I think if you want to bet a shiny new nickel that his stats won't be better than the numbers you posted from last year, someone will take you up on it.
Yes we have 2 total shooters on the team.We have really gone from John Wall to a 5'8 guy who can't shoot and is a turnover machine.The new staff better do something because this is bad.If Duke was after this guy everyone here would laugh and say they were pathetic.

There is a bigger picture than this. Not many teams can replace a John Wall with another John Wall every year. We have done better than most if not all programs in the country over a long history. We may not get a perfect roster every year. No one does but we come the closest. You and I want the same thing. A great team every year. We have to realize that it won't always happen. If we get Wheeler, he will be better than you think in my opinion. As fans, let's hope so.
