Can't wait till next year. Cal is gonna make haters look foolish. An angry Cal is a great Cal. Bring it on.
Don’t think the roster will allow that to play out but would like to see a team out there with a chip on their shoulder.

I'm still struggling to understand why ppl think Mintz is leaving? Of all our options at starting guard next year he's the most ready.

Seasons over bro. Move on. Better days ahead, hopefully. Don’t be so doom and gloom, does zero good for anybody.

See man, respectfully, I think that’s where we are different.

To me, he’s just spitting the truth and unfortunately the truth isn’t that palatable these days or this season.

To me, just because fans (die hard ones too) have shown immense frustration at John Calipari doesn’t necessarily make them doom and gloom.

Let me ask you this. Do you think die hard IU fans or die hard Nebraska football fans who are constantly criticizing their programs- coaches are doom and gloom? I don’t. Yes you could say “well if you don’t like it anymore then stop following” but , at least with being a Kentucky fan and I think you’ll agree, it’s not that easy. Being a Kentucky basketball fan just hits different.

Edit- for clarifications sake, I’m not saying we are to or at the point of IU basketball or Nebraska football.

We all on the same team. Cal has made some(most) of the changes we wanted as fans. Let the man go to work and let’s support him.
He’s made most of the changes? How could you possibly know that? All he's done so far is sign Grady and Oscar.
How do you know he isn't doing pro days, retaining players, putting UK ahead of the draft, running a modern offense and not playing favorites?
Exactly what changes has he made?

Maybe he’s alluding to staffing changes?

I think it’s way to early to tell if he has actually made “changes” imo. In order to see that it will take a couple years to see if the above pans out. Will he start running an actual offense? Will he retain players more? Will players stop quitting mid season/ transferring in masse and bolting for the draft regardless of their level of play? Will he change his “model” and vibe of the program to not exclusively prop up NBA and financial contracts for the guys that come here? (Not saying you cant do that but it shouldn’t be priority #1 as he’s claimed).

Will he stop using the “we’re young and they’re not robots” excuse? Will we begin beating our conference rivals and other rivals (KU) more consistently? Will he begin to recruit and build teams with more cohesiveness and longevity instead of just signing a slew of whoever? Meaning... recruiting to fill needs and positions as opposed to positionless athletes?

I mean all of the above respectfully of course.

i don’t think cal is angry. I think he is sad and has been constantly in a state of mourning since the SECT didn’t happen last year. Losing games, losing ben Jordan, now losing TC. I doubt cal is angry

Yeah, it's going to take at least two years to actually see these changes. We're so far in the wrong direction right now, it's going to take a loooong time to change the culture.
Honestly, I think the changes will be minimal. I don't think he's going to change the culture and I don't think he's going to put UK ahead of the NBA. Those are the two biggest things he needs to change in my opinion.
Hiring Orlando tells me he's prioritizing recruiting, that's what Orlando specializes in. I would rather prioritize player development and retention. But I do like the Antigua hire

What is a modern offense?

Well, for starters something other than “Go make a play” (verbatim what John Calipari said). Or anything resembling an offense really? Running sets, offensive schemes? Plays? Set up plays? Out of bound plays? What type of offense did John Calipari run this season and can you provide some examples? What type of offense, even somewhat specifically, has John Calipari been running the last few years?

I have never called for assistant coaching change, because I think no matter who the assistants are, unless Cal changes his whole game prep and adopts to a more modern day basketball philosophy, nothing is going to change. And I still don’t think Cal has changed. I am willing to be proved wrong, but, till I see it, I have little faith in any change. Transfers are not the cure for what ails this program.

Losing 2 kids in a year is horrible. One thing that can't be disputed is Cal loves his players. I just hope Cal can remember the good in TC and Ben and get into a positive state of mind. It's been a hard year plus for all of us, the whole world. Then from a BB standpoint is was horrible for all of BBN this year. Now losing TC I just hope Cal is ok mentally. He's only human. I also hope our fanbase unites. Sure we will still disagree and argue, that's normal. As long as it is more of us against the world. Especially against the trolls.

I know we are pissed and now kind of numb over TC. Hopefully, we can get back on track and the positive news starts rolling in. Grady was a start and it seemed like more was coming and then the tragedy. I'm still hoping O and another good assistant join. I'm hoping at least Mintz returns. Then we need to land another couple of really solid transfers. It's a lot, but if that all comes together then I think we will all be excited again.

No offense to this guy but I can’t believe people think he’s some sort of insider or something
If you are talking about Dave , there was a time (previous staff) when Dave was very much connected and had spot-on info . His reputation was built on that timeframe but it’s obvious this isn’t the case anymore. He probably still hears things, but the people he’s hearing it from are not closely connected to the program at this point.

In my opinion the Mintz situation is still iffy but a fellow posted out of the Kentucky Network the hyperlink in my original post and I'm sorry you can't open it if you are not a Facebook member. As far as me getting information it's been pretty slim for quite a long run now but I think that situation could improve in the near term.
