Yeah the announcers were losing me with the terminology.... I knew about digs, sets, and kills, but was impressed with the announcers.

Hard to fathom that it’s the first ever national championship for the SEC. What a huge accomplishment. What a roster of dominant players, too.

What a fun team to watch this entire tournament. So happy for them, and always appreciative of something to celebrate after the last year the world has had.
Wow our girls are some badass Volleyball players with a killer instinct, they never got rattled or panicked after getting down one set. They made to many unforced errors the first set, settled down and kicked as the rest of the way going toe to toe with a big athletic Texas front line. Great Job girls, congratulations on doing something no other SEC team has ever done!!

Went to ukteamshop.com to see what kind of championship gear I can get. ALl they had was some t-shirts. Went to go buy the one listed for $24.99. After tax, shipping, and handling, it's going to cost $35.40. And it's just a 100% cotton t-shirt from some brand I never heard of. How absurd. I'll just do without if that's the **** they are going to be pulling.
One of the Longhorn players did get hit in the face on a slam... think it was during the third set? She shook it off pretty well.
They play with so much heart and grit. Glad Stumler is just a junior. If two or three of the seniors come back we could be right back there next year. Very proud the way they represented and got it done! Just great athletes also.

Texas 27-1 and they had several great players, to beat them like we did is pretty amazing. One of the differences was we had more great players. Every one of them was major contributors. And we have one of the very best coaches because he has took every Kentucky team he has had to the tournament.

• UK won the 2020-21 SEC Championship, making it a four-peat for UK’s senior class.
• The Wildcats’ #2 seed is the highest in history.
• Kentucky will be playing eight SEC matches in the fall of 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The rest of the season will shift to the spring of 2021 to allign with the adjusted dates for the NCAA Volleyball Championships.
• UK was the only team to go 8-0 in SEC play in the fall. The Wildcats have a two-game lead on the rest of the conference heading into the spring season.
• Kentucky is a three-time defending champion of the Southeastern Conference, having won the league in 2018, 2019 (undefeated) and 2020.
• UK was picked to win the SEC by the conference coaches by winning 11 of the 13 first-place votes. You could not vote for your own team.
• Gabby Curry, Madison Lilley and Alli Stumler were voted Preseason All-SEC by the conference coaches to begin the season.
• Kentucky’s 2020 recruiting class was ranked No. 1 in the nation by PrepVolleyball. The class of five newcomers is the highest-ranked recruiting class in program history.
• UK started the 2020 season ranked #3 in the American Volleyball Coaches’ Association top-15 rankings. That was the highest ranking in program history, but comes with the caveot that only teams playing volleyball this fall were eligible to be ranked.
