He was sounding like he was headed for the g league even before this.
His *** is looking at the G league anyway. I look for Cal to no longer make him a priority and he decommits. Just my feelings, no inside information
There's still plenty of time to talk to him and keep him on board, provided he isn't 100% to the G-League anyway.
Well the miserable have their new whining point after swearing up and down Cal wouldn't change his offensive philosophy (although this still needs to actually be seen on the court, but he definitely appears to be looking for more shooters) or wouldn't make any changes to his staff.
Id trade Skyy for Antiqua every day of the week. Hope he sticks around but not worried about recruiting if Cal's super staff comes together as planned

Wait, so is Justus gone? I saw some posts in the other thread. IDK, I'd have given him more time.. and I don't think THIS much coaching staff turnover is great. Year 1, lose KP and Robic (personal) gain Flint. Year 2. lose Justus and Barbee, but gain Antigua. That's a lot of shuffling. Might not be the best thing for a young team.
Honestly, if Justus was Skyy's guy and he was ALREADY considering the G-league.. I would just assume he's not here next year if I were the staff, and start recruiting for his position now.
If ANY recruit insinuates the G-League is still an option, then you HAVE to recruit and fill the team on the assumption he won't be there.

I’d keep JJ for next year at least to try to keep Clarke locked up and lose Flint. But JJ has had plenty of time to prove himself. Supposedly we’re getting 2 Illinois assistant coaches
I think that's why Cal has been recruiting Jaden Bradley so hard.
Bringing Orlando back is nothing but a great move. Stop looking at things so negatively. Things were rolling the last time he was in Lexington.

i dont think anyone is saying they dont want him. hes obviously a great talent. pointing out he mentioned the gleague is just a fact. luckily, if he decides to reopen his commitment or go to the gleague, there are a lot of options for additional back court players in this class, with Jaden Bradley being the most obvious potential addition. Assuming we get guys like Hickman for more than one year, and add in a player or 2 like CJ and Adam Miller, our back court wont need a massive overhaul.

I knew you had to be Frank Underwood. I don't know why you have had such a 180 on your view of the program though. you used to be pretty level headed. I understand that last season sucked and changes need to be made but it seems like Cal is starting to institute some of the changes as we speak.
Friend told me Skyy Clark/family have been shopping around before this became news and he got the info from an assistant at one of the schools his family has been talking with. Cal is aware. Joel Justus wasn't. Not a great look. They also have been recruiting plenty of '22 guards too so whatever happens, happens.
That's one of the many reasons Justus doesn't deserve to be an assistant at a school like UK!

I met Ralph once briefly. Told him I was a big UK fan and said we sure could have used him. He just laughed & shrugged.
It cost him national championships also . I don’t think they ever made a final four .
