It doesn't even look like he's entered the portal yet

EDIT - I’m wrong

Didn’t see this coming. I don’t see him becoming a star but he can probably be a solid role player.

Good for him but if him wanting to leave had anything to do with being yelled at by Cal then he doesn't know what's coming. Beard is a good coach. But he absolutely lights up people!

Pick up your dribble one time at the elbow coming off a screen right into a double team. See what happens then.

Once he realizes he's not a point it'll be better for him.

Best of luck in his future endeavors. It'll be interesting to see if he turns into a basketball player.

The kid is going to get better and end up being a pretty decent player. I liked his determination and drive and wish we could have kept him for a couple more years

Beard is a knight descendant as well. Though Antonio Andrews could tell you, that cal can easily be a Bob Knight type.

I like DA, he played hard and never quit. He has limitations, but will improve enough to be a solid guard for a good program. He will play - maybe not start next season, but maybe he will. In the right system, he can be very stable. Wouldn’t have minded keeping him, but would have had to have been coming off the bench next season.

I'm sure he will do alright, the toughest thing he ever did in basketball is behind him now. There is no pressure there unlike Kentucky and he will get better being a year older.

Absolutely. He'll be very good. There are very few reclassified frosh who have to carry to whole load on their shoulders from day one. Beard is taking candy from a baby.

He proved he can block out the yelling and do his own thing, he had a year of practice.

What Askew lacks in talent, he makes up for in playing hard. If Boston or Clarke played with half the energy Askew did, we wouldn't have been so bad.

Determination and drive?! The same determination and drive that caused him to transfer from the greatest college basketball program of all time, even after getting an undeserving 30 minutes a game?! Even after he said he was going to stick it out at UK. The kid possesses neither IMO.
