I hope the alumni get their way. We will find out by the end of the week if Lloyd is going to take the job or not. Hey alumni let them know you are the ones with the money and you will stop giving if you don't hire one of our own. Coach Lloyd is fine right where he is at and has a lot more to do with the Gonzaga success than most people even realize.

Heaven forbid...
They should hire a black coach. The majority of college players are black and they should have a coach who understands their background, problems, etc. A white coach knelling for the National Anthem is silly. There is no way they can understand how evil this country is!

They fired him because he's not bringing that 5 star talent to Tucson anymore. And he showed he couldn't win with that talent. He won't win without it. If it were about firing him over the NCAA allegations, they'd have done it a couple years ago.

Bet they hire a black coach as everyone seems to going WOKE. What ever that is ? :)

If this bothers you so much that you feel the need to interject it into a totally unrelated topic, you may want to start asking yourself why this is the case.

I doubt Tommy Lloyd would go there. He's supposed to be Few's successor at Gonzaga. If he left Gonzaga, I think it'd be for a more stable job than the one at U of A, but maybe I'm wrong. Doubt Luke Walton would take the job at this point, either. But he'd at least answer the phone out of courtesy being a former player of theirs.

I don’t recall even seeing a Zona game this past season

You didn't miss much.

This is sad. I used to respect you as a poster. Now that its clear black people standing up for themselves bothers you, I see your true colors. You're a racist who doesn't realize you are one. That's why this world is dangerous. May not think you are, but your words paint a different picture.

Should have been fired long ago. Arizona administration is a joke.

This is one of the few instances I can see an NBA coach willing to leave and coach at the college level. The Kings have been awful for years and Luke has shown no real success as a head coach. The dude is falling off the carousel.

Actually thinks Miller was fired for this and not missing the tourney multiple times ^^^

Recruiting also isn't what it once was there. He used to get a few 5 star guys to go there (Ayton for instance), but he's had to settle for four stars the last two or three classes.

He was just telling the truth, is there something wrong with that ? Did you not see who north carolina hired, same lines

They hired a beloved former player with 9 years of experience on Roy’s staff who happens to be black. Carolina doesn’t make outside hires.

I think some of you are looking to feel persecuted on behalf of ... checks notes ... white basketball coaches. More than 70 percent of D1 men’s basketball coaches are white. Nearly 80 percent of men’s D1 basketball players are black. I fail to see the issue.

You referred to someone as a "redneck". Is that not calling someone a name? Does referring to someone as a "redneck" add anything to the discussion about Sean Miller getting fired?
I mean, if you think the label applies to you, that’s that.

But you’re defending a guy who thinks black guys shouldn’t be coaches apparently... because IU hired a former NBA coach and UNC hired a former alumnus and both are black.

So, yeah, if hiring black people bothers you, you’re a redneck. That’s not a name call. That’s a fact. Embarrassing to fanbase, state, country and humanity and general. How do we breed such backwards people?

You just made three claims: 1. He's a racist 2. He doesn't realize he's a racist 3. Black people standing up for themselves bothers him

Perhaps you'd like to explain and back up those three claims, based on what he actually said.

I'll hang up and listen.

I’m not playing games with you.
Cause you're wrong. I'll wait for your example about me defending his comment. I don't know where Western's heart is. I see how it was a stupid comment, but I thought his point was more about the Woke Police and not some much skin color.

Oh, because you use the term “woke” it’s okay to be a redneck. You’re not fooling anyone.

What makes you think such a thing? I don't read disapproval in any of their posts, only observations. What kind of 'dog whistle' are you chirping about now?

How was it stupid? Have any of you looked up the definition of 'woke' these days? His comment was spot on, and there is no indication of whether or not he approved of the potential move.

I don't know how using the term 'woke' makes one a redneck. It's pretty common vernacular today, by all types of people. ...and you don't know me, friend.

OK, it was insensitive, and not well thought out. In 2021, a person should know better.

A country so evil you can openly speak out, demean and hold fake "beaded" effigies against the leaders on live TV and not be persecuted.

So evil that you can be any sexual orientation you want without being stoned to death.

So evil that people from all over the world give everything they have to come here in pursuit of a better life. Even tons of European exchange students that fight to stay in America after graduation.

A country that is constantly striving to continue to adapt.

What an ignorant statement.

We are a melting pot and the most diverse country by far. Hundreds of Millions of people from different backgrounds get along every day. You want to see widespread cultural racism, go be different in any predominantly homogenous country.

That's quite an assumption. Care to explain how that quote by western proves that he thinks black guys shouldn't be coaches? Because that's a wild, outlandish claim.
