I've been watching hype videos of our 5 *'s...stepbacks and dunking on heads. Glad we are getting our other 5* the heck out so we can bring in this good 5*. But we do need the transfer to backup the 5* in case he leaves midseason or has a 6 month long ankle sprain. These things happen.
Oddly enough, Carlton Dotson is eligible for parole this year.

- Slept in yesterday. Pounded as many Diet Mt. Dews as possible in order to ingest enough caffeine to make it through "One Shining Moment". Still fell asleep with six or so minutes to go. And no warning, either. Didn't even have time to see the warning signs and stand up, pace, etc. Woke up in time to see Stephen Colbert's "comedy" show. Haven't stayed up through an entire title game since Jenkins over UNC.
- Speaking of "OSM", very nice of them to include the Grand Canyon player who subsequently died in a car crash. Thought they might include a tribute shot to that Bama superfan who died from COVID, but nope....just included their 6,406,492nd shot of that bag Sister Jean.
- Sometimes having skill beats having dudes, but last night, having dudes beat having skill. Baylor looked like grown men out there, all over the court. Gonzaga looked like a 14th region team that shows up at Rupp in March having only played 14th region teams all year and suddenly has to play Ballard. Just shell-shocked.
- The Askew thing would bother me more if it literally wasn't happening EVERYWHERE now. Would bother me more if he was leaving for some impossible pipe dream pro gig, but the transfer portal is hitting everyone. It's whatever. Maybe he watched "Last Chance U" and realized he could probably slide into major PG minutes at East L.A. CC.
- If CBS was being honest with itself, it would admit that Nantz/Raft/Hill are their second-best crew. Give the title game to Jim Jackson and either Eagle or Harlan. Profit.

Also, I visited my mom for the first time at her nursing home this weekend and she didn't believe that I was who I am. Ended the visit by saying "I love you Mom", and she replied with "Well you can take your love and shove it up your ***."

I think the way Baylor played is exactly the way Cal would want his teams to play.
They only shoot 24 3s a game, but they make a shitload of them.
They played beautiful suffocating defense.
They pushed the ball every chance they got. Goooooooooooo!
They had several athletic freaks.
They ran the little weave out front then attacked their man off the dribble.
3 of the guys in their 8 man rotation didn't shoot outside the paint.
****. Other than not playing 2 big men at all times, Baylor was Cal's wet dream.

wcc is definitely onto something here. Mark Few is garbage, Gonzaga is terrible, all their players suck, they can't beat anyone, their team is boring, their mascot is stupid, Spokane has a huge homeless problem, Dan Dickau is gay, the weather in Washington is too rainy, the student body is a bunch of dorks, their sorority girls are ugly, they rank very low in every category mentioned in the Princeton Review......just awful. All around awful.
Who was All B10, 2nd in assists , 4th in scoring, and is generally considered anywhere from #1-5 among transfer portal guards.
