We’ve got 13 scholarships. Say why don’t we do something different and use them all!
So tired of 10 with guys out injured and hearing we don’t have enough scholarship players to go 5 on 5.
Get some of these standout local kids in there. Let them develop.
Powell and Traynor should already be there from last year.

Frederick is/would be a very solid rotation player for us. But we do need another dynamic playmaking on next years roster. I think askew is still another year away. Mintz can’t be the only one.

I don't know much about CJF.. but looking at his stats... Doesn't seem like a guy who is going to get a ton of play here. Sure, shoots it extremely well.. But despite that, his numbers dropped, and for such great shooting he's still only 8 points and sub 70% ft shooting.

And one of the worst defenders in college basketball. He can't guard a corpse.

Frederick isn't coming here to play major minutes. He's a good shooter, glue guy, great teammate and locker room guy. He can provide a lot of value

Based on what I'm reading.. he seems like a guy who should transfer down to a mid-major.. not up to a Blue blood.

I mean if he really wants to be here, sure, take him.. but I dont see how a guy like him gets more than 8mpg here. Does he want that?

I saw Frederick play a few times in high school, never really looked like a Power 5 player to me, but sometimes those things are elusive. The I found out his uncle is Joe Fredrick, who played for Digger at Notre Dame when Fran was the longtime assistant, and it made sense. Having said that, the kid was a starter for most of 2 years for a team that’s spent most of this season in the top 5.

No one actually thinks it’s CJ Fredrick, right? I don’t even think we would reach out to him

Give me Jason Preston. He plays at nearby Ohio U and is a terrific SF that can shoot, which is something we really need. Plus he would fit right in with his wild hair. Our team this year probably spent more time in the cosmetics aisle than the gym.
Can’t wait to see BJ and Clarke blow a few grand on a suit to go 2nd round/undrafted/LATE first round

There was once a guy from Kentucky who was a slow guard at UK that couldn't guard a corpse. I remember him making a big shot in the NCAA tournament. Low and behold we went on to win a national championship because in part, due to his efforts.

Not sure whatever happened to him. This was probably 23 years ago.
