You're totally right, and it does bother me. There are some fans on here (the proverbial pumpers) who go on about not dogging players, and I get it. We all get it. But it's completely disingenuous for us all to act like we don't feel the way we do about this.

It's not hard folks. A guy like John Wall or Anthony Davis we understand. A guy like Daniel Orton or Boston, we don't. It's dumb. And there needs to be a minor league so guys who just want to go play ball after high school can do it. They aren't wrong for wanting that. But it is absolutely killing college basketball.

All that he said that day adn then the final presser day....is/was total baloney. You'll hear him, Matt Jones and other Cal slurpers start the messaging "this was expected", "We knew from day one Boston was 1 year guy", etc..

But the roster for next year with the all the recruiting misses at the guard spots....I think we'll get back to a tourney team...but we won't be a top 10 team down the stretch in place to be solid shot at winning it all. This is the point Cal slurpers won't face up to.

1. THose 7 guys are confirmed back and let's assume Toppin is back as well. I don't know if Brooks comes back but lets' for argument sake he's back. Best case scenario we have 9 guys back 4 of which are newcomers. To fill out the roster, Cal is going to revert to transfer portal shopping to get 2-3 more bodies. Why constantly do this stuff as it's very risky way? Why does UK have to revert to this kind of team building.....It's just desperation.

Quinerly had a great February and a great conference tournament. He's a 5 star and has played well lately. He probably won't even consider the nba.

Yet UK has had players recently who can't score, can't rebound, are weak or overall just have no great skill decide to leave.

Quinerly right now is absolutely better than boston, clarke, and a host of others. He will stay the others act like "it's a tough decision". BS! If they averaged 1.4 points and shot 0 for 100 from 3 they would still go.

Cal created this monster and it's now killing him.

The 'just a kid' argument only goes so far with me especially when they are as hyped up as Boston and do next to nothing here. This bad trend started with diallo when he was almost a "none and done". Since then it's been as others have said "fail and bail".

Yes SGA, Knox, pj, herro, maxey, richards proved their worth and left. But mixed with that is diallo, vanderbilt, Gabriel, montgomery, whitney, Boston and clarke.
