I've been very vocal about how poor of a coach he is. He has only made a single S16 and ppl wanted him just bc hes from Ky. Weird to want him in general has proven nothing.
He definitely needs to prove more before he is a serious candidate!
I’m more intrigued with Frank Vogel once the Lakers run is over. Timing could be about right when Cal is ready to hang em up.

Folks wanted him last year after OSU beat us and then they lost 10-12 straight games.
Honestly, he's not even that special for Ohio State. This his 3rd year in a row with at least 10 losses.

Of course they do. Anybody but Cal. Holtman was the hot item on this board. When has Cal ever lost to a 15 seed? They will now say at least he made the tourney and Cal didn't. All these great coaches that are so much better than Cal? Coach K, Chris Holtman, Rick Barnes. They all need to be farred.

My takeaway is bad tournament games happen for Chris Holtmann in the first or second round every year, but John Calipari isn't allowed to have a bad game in the EE or Final Four.

I’m trying to understand the Holtmann love. He’s made it out of the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament 1 time (lost in the Sweet 16). He’s finished 2nd, 5th and 8th in the Big 10 so far. Is it that he’s from Kentucky, so he gets bonus points for that?
