Just like my wife said the other night, “nobody cares if Kentucky isn’t in it.” Of course she was talking about us, but it really is hard to get into these games without UK being a part of it.

I didn’t even fill out a bracket this year for the first time in probably ten years. The bracket pool I entered at work in 2019 I won the pot. Hell, I haven’t even looked at a bracket.

FWIW, though, I probably will watch some of it and definitely will watch from EE onward. Hoping for a non blueblood nor Gonzaga to win it. Non blueblood for obvious reasons and Gonzaga because I don’t wanna see them go undefeated. I think Illinois has a great shot to win the whole damn thing.

Hopefully the Gators get back on track and take control of things in this first game today. Would be nice if Oral Roberts started raining some 3s down on Ohio State also.

Ohio is the upset special for tomorrow and maybe UC Santa Barbara.

Maybe Winthrop beats Villanova without Gillespie.

There has been a lot of discussion on here about the Big 10 being over rated all season. They wound up getting 9 teams in the tournament with 1, Mich St, already falling. How many do you think survive the first weekend? I have 4 of the 9 surviving this weekend with Illinois being the only one making it to the Final Four.

I think VT beats Florida bad, they haven’t looked good at all to end the season.

Georgia Tech will be without Moses Wright today. Covid positive. At least they isolated him, and the team gets to play. Glad UL didn't get their spot. If Tech beats Loyola Chicago today they likely face #1 seed Illinois and may still be without Wright.

Will there be any buzzer beaters today? Three misses yesterday although UCLA went on to win as the score was tied when their last second heave by JJ missed.

Wouldn't be surprised if two #11 seeds won as the #11 seed is 11-9 in those matchups over the last 5 tournaments I think.

Ohio over Virginia. Virginia dealing with Covid. Ohio played good down the stretch. That Preston kid can play.
