Very winnable game for Iona. I think that's about the best the Gaels could have asked for..

I have several reasons to root against Iona.. but they are good. This was a team that's been to the tournament before, and is on a 5-year MAAC win streak. You give Pitino a team that was already good? Watch out.

If I had to pick any 16/15/14 seed to pull the upset, its Iona. And it kills me to write those words.

Don't sleep on them.

I love when the SEC gets into the big dance they start to fall big time most of the time. Pitino will make Oats earn this game you can bet on that! I hope Pitino b%^ch slaps Alabama and knocks them out of it.

People continue to falsely think that Alabama is just a three-point shooting team. Their defensive efficiency is off the charts. They really can defend the ball and they also get a crap ton of shots right at the basket. They will pound Iona due to superior athleticism and there's nothing Pitino will be able to do about it.

Yup. #2 nationally in KenPom adjusted defense. Very impressive.
