Shot 58% from the line and they shot 81% and that 1 point given up on 2 stupid lane violations. It's bad enough you got 1 lane violation but to get 2 in a row is beyond stupid.

Miss State only made 5 3's but of course 2 came at the end when we were up 5.

Brutal loss. Could we possibly see this season ending any other way the way we have been all year long losing heart breakers.

Not dissing the kid, at all, but wishing he’d been in about a step. That’s where his touch was today. I agree he can shoot anywhere, but his touch today was a bit closer.
To say anything negative about Allen makes you worthy of dissing.

I don’t understand why we would settle for long baseline 2's when we have to have a bucket. We took 4 of them under 3 minutes and missed them all. How stupid.

Skiing might kick my ***, but it never lets me down..

Before all of the Allen talk...let me say the kid had a great game. But it's not like we were not trying to get him shots before today. This is the first day he resembled what he was earlier in season.

If he is patient & comes back he could have a big year next season if he gets stronger & handles the ball better like he did today.

Quick question has the team made any smart decisions on the court all year? I mean our freshman weren’t shooting those shots either.

For the first time in my near 45 years of being a UK fan I am glad a season has ended. It has just wore me out and I am glad to see it come to an end. I honestly don't care if I even watch any of the tournament and as long as Kansas or UNC doesn't win I am okay with whoever wins it all.

He would not have been open if he were a step in...States #24 best shot blocker was closing out.

Decent play, good shot but low percentage. Why not drive it for a foul or possibly get a bucket

I just posted this in another thread, but the chances of Askew, Mintz or Boston finishing a drive seem minimal. Would've likely ended up with a rejection.

Either way, I'm glad it's over.

And seriously.. why can we never close out a ******* game? I can't remember the last time we won a game with the score close in the last minute.. going back to Herro and Seton Hall.. ******* snakebitten.

think what you. I just wish he could’ve been up a little bit. I have NO PROBLEM with him taking those shots. I just wish they could’ve been a bit shorter.
I love seeing him shoot the ball.

And wouldn't figure, the difference in the game is the 1 point we gave them on back to back lane violations.

Just a very poor offensive team. We've always had guys that could penetrate and get to the rim, not this team.

I know Sarr can make those midrange shots but it's still a low % shot. And we settled for a long Allen 3 at the end I suspect because Cal didn't have confidence on anyone driving and getting to the rim. Any other year we don't do that.

Maybe you should wish we had a coach smart enough to have running screens for Allen all seasons and more specifically in the first half of this game.

Why not give the ball to Boston and let him take it to the basket for his patented AAU flip shot Air ball? Would have been a perfect ending to this season!

. Yes. FT shooting hurt us today.

Once again this game was lost when Sarr and Jackson went to the bench and played all of 8 mins in that first half.

We got absolutely hammered inside by a team that's not good on offense.

Oscar is going to have to learn to stay out of foul trouble or else we risk having this again next season.

Didn’t watch, but guessing Sarr took some shots he maybe shouldn’t have toward end of game, Boston sucked, Askew sucked, could trouble doomed us in first half and caused massive hole; lost after leading close to end?

Take a look at Boston's stat line. "We're young".

Snakebit or bad coaching? I know which way I lean.

Maybe. Idk. I've always thought there's a degree of luck in sports.. this isn't the first time we had the last shot and just absolutely muffed it. Like 3 or 4 this year alone. Cant expect freshman to deliver in crunch time I guess.

It is easy to armchair quarterback this...that was a damn good play. Long jumper, yeah. Wide open, yeah. Best shooter taking it, yeah.

Chances are if Mintz drives something goes haywire, charges, gets blocked or a no call. Allen was wide open.
