Now that Arkansas is fully healthy, I don’t think anyone wants to play them.
Hogs are playing really well, and in my opinion, have one of the best college basketball coaches and coaching staff in the country. All of this accomplished with I believe 11 newcomers, and only two players that had ever scored a point in an Arkansas uniform. Not quite sure how good we really are, but the players have definitely bought into the preparation and coaching of Coach Musselman and Staff.

Pig fan I am, but I would not have said the same thing about Coach Anderson. Musselman and the staff he has assembled is very good, the best we have had in Arkansas in a long time.
Maybe one of our resident historians can find your posts here when Anderson was hired/coaching in his first couple seasons. Maybe you thought he was bad.

I’m with you but when fans from other programs come around, I’m always happy to call them out on their BS.
You can call it B/S if you want, but facts are facts. Coach Musselman has finished second in NBA Coach of the Year voting, and has turned Arkansas around in less than two seasons.
Nope, never said or thought Arkansas is Final Four bound, but certainly playing well with a very solid coaching staff.

You will, there are plenty of great coaches that would love to coach Kentucky. Just please stay away from Musselman
Getting slapped in the forehead isn't a questionable call.
If you consider 2nd in the conference middling I guess, wouldn't consider a team who has a chance to be ranked in the top 10 next week middling though.

I am a huge fan of Musselman. He may not have the pedigree or resume of some other names out there, but he has been around the game a very long time, including the NBA. And you won't find anyone with more charisma or enthusiasm. That bleeds into how he presents and carries himself on the recruiting trail and especially on the court.

At least they will have a shot at it. I would trade places (and coaches) with them today. Would probably give about $50M in boot to trade with them. You can't make it to the final four if you are not good enough to get in the tournament.
I am a hog hater from the Nolen days. But Musselman is a first class coach. If you have watched any of their games this year, you would know that.

They have already won their "Super Bowl". They beat the Cats. Losing matters in the SEC even if Cal doesn't think so. If every team makes the UK game their Super Bowl, then you need to prepare your team accordingly instead of "letting players play through their mistakes so they can grow into NBA prospects.
I remember when Pitino rebuilt UK into a power, beating Arkansas, who was on top at that time, felt like a program changing moment for most Cat fans. Including me.
And it was. UK went on a heck of a run when we finally got over the hump against Nolan Richardson and Arkansas. They were our #1 Challenger when they first came into the league. Pitino put them in their place, and Cal has let them back up.
I have no problem with Hog fans being excited. Good coach and talented roster. Now whether that translates into a NCAA run, we will see.
Hate the coming over to seek... IDK - approval/validation/brag while you can shizz. That said - I really like Musselman. For me better than Oats. Oats hit it right this season and rolled the dice on the 3 point shot. So far so good - but I doubt will play well in the NCAA - plus his star 7 year senior seems super grumpy lately and they are showing cracks mentally as they are not used to being the hunted.
Musselman is building balance and his players play with energy. Like his BBall IQ. I'll take that over what we currently have - YES - even the great Cal. Cal was good and brings individual talent - but IMO is played out - tired - exposed and lost desire. Musselman here would bring talent and new energy. I have said Holtmann - and I still like him as well - but Musselman would do well IMO

Oh, I thought we were talking about THIS YEAR. Pretty sure I said that Pitino put Arkansas in their place (below UK) and that Cal has let them back up from all those years of our dominance over them.
Where did you come up with the 30 years stuff? I'm talking about what is on the floor for both teams this year. The past speaks for itself.
I want to see Alabama and Arkansas have the same success two years in a row before I go claiming Oats and Musselman the kings of the SEC. They both did a hell of a job this year but do it back to back and see where it goes from there

This thread wasn't started by an Arkansas fan. I was just providing factual information on incorrect statements of us currently being middle of the pack in the SEC and an obvious hit to the head not being a foul.
