For me it is Duke. Why? They were the last loss we had before I was born in 1980. The shot, their coach and the student section...their whiny players, the hypocrisy, their coach and their stupid mascot that looks like their coach.

Duke . Because they are allowed to play by a different set of rules.

I hate IU with a passion because the Hoosiers have fans that are idiots and former bully bobby knight.

Kentucky would be the choice for many that post here.
Never understood why we would hate any program. I understand why U of L fans hate us, we drag our nuts all over their faces and they can't stand it.
But I refuse to hate duke because the NCAA or ESPN gives them special treatment, hate the NCAA or ESPN, but either way, it comes off as jealousy.

However, I do hate the NCAA and SACS, they let uNC off the hook when they had them dead to rights. Plus the NCAA is the worst organization I have ever seen.

I follow teams who I like the folks associated w the program. And the opposite is true - root against the ones I don’t like the folks.

I know I'm in the minority on this board about having more of a dislike for North Carolina than Duke, but that's what decades of using fake classes and illegal methods to keep their players eligible has done for me. It's as much of a disdain for the NCAA as it is for the UNC basketball program.
Louisville because I live there and have to put up with their holier than thou attitude.
I don't "hate" any team, but I do dislike Duke the most followed by Kansas, IU, UNC, UL, Illinois, and all the SEC teams.
Losing to Duke is horrible. I’ve seen it twice in person. But, there’s dignity in losing to Duke. Losing to Louisville is shameful and gross. Therefore, I must hate Duke more. QED.
Based on some of the posters on here, perhaps you should have listed UK as an option.
I really don’t hate any basketball program, although being around Cameron Crazies would make me want to sterilize the whole bunch.
Tbh I hate Louisville the most and right behind them equally Duke & UNC. The reason I believe Duke leads this poll is because they are the only ones able to compete to Kentucky on the recruiting trail, recent success & etc from the 92 game. Louisville & UK have a true personal hate.
It’s a close call for me between Duke and UNC, but I’ll choose the Tarholes. The massive academic fraud that UNC perpetuated combined with their “Carolina Way” smugness makes them the most hateable, in my opinion.
This question comes up every year or two on this board. And I used to get chastised by many on here for not saying UL (aka Little brother, aka U6).

I don’t see UCONN on that list. I absolutely hate UCONN with a passion! Remember their fans when Kemba Walker and company beat us out in the tournament? They beat us in 11 and 14.
I dislike both Duke and UNC, but when Duke was busted back in the early 90s by Outside the Lines doing the same thing as UNC, the NCAA wouldn't even go through the motions of pretending they're going to punish the Dukies.

And it must be nice to be a private school with the ability to buy mansions for the Zion's of world with absolutely no repercussions.
Oh, and I would be willing to bet anyone that Coach K is going to weasel himself into the position of commissioner over the entire sport of college basketball when he finally retires.
Oh I get it, but it's another reason to hate the NCAA. They’re the ones letting them skate.
Nah, he's too old to take that on. Once K retires, I have to believe he'll be 100% done with it.
