Can't go along with the OP on this one either, Allen was totally off on his shot tonight and could not help us either. Just a very bad team is what we have this year. I almost hate watching the games this year yet I still put it on every time they play. Only good thing this year, I didn't have to pay for my season tickets to watch this trash. Thankfully, I saved a lot of money that would have been down the drain this season.

Allen was better than Boston tonight but they both were bad. Look I’m all for Allen but his D needs to pick up and he needs more offense than 3pt shooting

Boston is just terrible, yet plays 35 minutes a game. Mistake after mistake after mistake. He can’t guard anyone either.

Allen rushes his shot because he is to damned slow and can’t beat his defender to the spot. Blaming Cal for his shooting is such nonsense. I would rather blame Cal for not having a coherent offense in the last 4 minutes of the game for the last 5 years.

Trying to place blame on one player is being oblivious to what happened in the game. Boston, Mintz, and Allen combined for 4-25 shooting and instead of worrying about that we are arguing over what time a player entered the game.

Allen has changed his shot, and its terrible now. He airballs at least 1 a game.
Cal won, he's broke.

Boston's pathetic defense put Kentucky defenders in scramble mode all night. I wish I had taped the game so I could go back and count how many points he gave up. He got lucky UT missed but for the 5th time this season he was beaten to the basket on an inbounds play.

Then on offense he took so many bad shots before he even blew the dunk. His play and Cal's refusal to sit him have cost Kentucky severely this season.

DA can’t get off his own shot with this team. He’s not fast enough to get away from his defender and they key on him. He needs players and an offense that helps spread the floor to be more effective.

What’s the sense in bringing Allen in with under 4 to go and down 10? Then, a minute later, he finally sits Boston. That’s my gripe.

I’d like to see what Allen looked like if he got Boston’s minutes, had his long leash, and had as much emphasis placed on his game as BJ.
May not be any better but it couldn’t be any worse.
Allen played 19 minutes tonight had 3 points on 1 for 6 shooting, 1 rebound , 1 turnover
Boston played 26 minutes had 6 points on 2 for 11 shooting, 4 rebounds, 1 turnover
So both guys were very, very bad. Allen shot 16.6 % Boston 18.18%

Allen sucked tonight too. Love him, but he was nonexistent. That said, Boston is terrible and has no place in a clutch situation.

Yeah a couple of times he was basically a turnstile. Then a couple of others his man jury bodied him under the rim. Dude needs weigh room in the worst way.

That’s the problem and has been all year. Boston gets up more shots than anyone on this team by a large margin. Boston has shot under 20% from 3 all season long basically. Still, he keeps jacking them.

He came in at the 4:36 mark instead of the under four you keep posting. Boston, Mintz, and Allen all came in and out, in and out of this game. You're complaining about things going pretty much exactly as you wanted them to go other than thinking Allen should always get more minutes like a lot of people do. Fans no longer worry about what won or lost the games it's all about comparing pt amongst players.

Boston played 26 min's, Allen 19, and Mintz 27. That is pretty much spot on with how it should be too. None of them played their normal minutes and not a one of them produced on the offensive end. The bottom is it didn't matter who he played, it didn't work. The game wasn't lost because one guy got more minutes than another, it was lost do to poor guard play.

no defense either, let TN score like 15-20 of their last possessions or something.

LOL 4:36, under 4, doesn’t matter. Yes, we lose these games in large part due to poor guard play. Our PG play has been terrible all year.

When you go into scoring droughts, spanning several minutes, run some plays to get your best shooter open. At least put him in the game to spread the floor. Allen doesn’t necessarily have to be hitting to be effective.

He played, it wasn't like he didn't and tonight the "spreads the floor" just didn't work. They had a good thing going with Brooks but he just said he got tired, and UT changed their defense thus shutting him down. This team is snake bitten.

. Cade Cunningham was 5-22 today. Poor shooting is everywhere this season, it seems.
