They're saying he's being disrespected, watch 3-4 games over the coming week, this happens multiple times per game, where players take shots and not a single person cares enough to cover them. It's not just from threes, it's from all over the court at times, some players just run and stay underneath the basket the entire time, regardless of where their man is. This is a more egregious example, though nonetheless, it's the reality.

Are you saying they didn't cover Lamelo after the steal? I think its mainly because he's not known for long range shooting and they dated him to make the shot. You could see Vuc and others acknowledged him there, and instead of running out to meet him and give up the lane, they'd rather let him shoot it.

Also, it was a broken play with several Magic players coming back on defense.

I dont think this was out of laziness.

I get that he's not known for shooting, he did have six threes the other night, though this tends to happen way to often, players completely leaving a ton of space for shooters and drivers. There's tougher D in CBB than the NBA IMO, that's why I see guys like BJ adapting well at the next level. Players are bigger and more athletic, though unless it's a personal battle between players, or two highly competitive teams, there's next to no defense.
