Has Cal ruined Dontaie Allen?

Dontaie had a great basketball IQ, he knew when to shoot and when to pass. Somehow Cal screams at him and takes him out for not taking a shot. Now he seems completely timid, forced a couple of suspect shots and hasn’t came back in the rest of the game.
Cal being Cal, punish the none 5 stars and let the so called super stars make mistake after mistake.

I agree with most of what you stated. However, Allen should look at it as not having anything to lose and if he goes down, he goes down fighting. Being afraid to shoot is making it easy for Cal to pull him.

To answer your question, yes he has. Cal had forced Allen to take bad shots or sit. Then he sits him for missing.
Exactly what happened in the first half.

Cal is certainly not helping himself with this treatment of Allen.

The worst player on our team averages 30 minutes per game. The most consistent outside shooter who opens the floor up for others - stays on the bench.

you are a pathetic loser . Well maybe you are correct , he’s the same as he’s always been , buried on the bench while Askew leads us to win after win after win .. right ? Dont Reply , you are too freaking stupid to converse with
He seems like the kind of guy that you just put on ignore. He is either a child or an adult with a really low IQ.

He hasn't ruined Allen, look at Baker and Jujang for example, they didn't play a lot and have recovered now.

What has he done to stop the kid from being this super star when he's in the game?
Other than miss st game he's looked avg . How did he ruin something that wasn't there

He's not THE ANSWER. But I think the general problem people have is that average is better than whatever Askew has been and some others. They play different spots but whatever you have to do as a coach you have to find some other finishing lineup than what we keep going with that still doesn't work.

😂 Calipari ruined Allen?? Allen had one solid game and hasn’t done ANYTHING since. He’s not the player so many of you believe he is, yet.

I can’t believe I have to say this , but it isn’t people think Allen is MJ reinvented , it just thst he might , just maybe , just possibly , be better than Devin Askew .. just maybe . But how will we ever know ? cal isn’t getting embarrassed by Allen going off again . Not gonna happen to Mr Ego

In my view it is hard to judge Allen. Boston has a free ride to do about anything and even when he loses his dribble or just takes or throws shots at the basket he seems to know there won't be a consequence. Allen is under pressure to immediately succeed and any mistakes he will be back on the bench. It is hard to play like that. If he was free to take those way out in the court like Missouri was doing and hitting a few he would fit right in with Missouri. But, do that on the Kentucky side he likely is not even given permission to do that because we have to keep that screen and drive to the basket offense.

Exactly . Cal treats him very unfairly as compared to Askew and Boston . It’s not that Cat fans think Dontae is the ultimate answer and we would be 13-4 with him .. but just the guy equal opportunity .. was there legit reason to not play him tonight in Half two ? Because askew was playing so well ?
