Based on Cal's last comments about when he would be back shouldn't he be back this week? Really tired of Cal throwing out these timelines and not giving updates and the UK media drives me crazy not asking him direct questions. I mean how hard would it have been to ask about an update on Clarke.

I think the injury is being used to hide that he's in trouble with Cal over the same incident as Fletcher. Clark was also involved in that crap with Fletcher. The difference is, Clarke has draft position to worry about, Fletcher don't.
This is a players first program. That means the player will do what's best for him and him alone and it's none of our damn business.
Also, another thought: Do you remember the good 'ol days? Back when players would play almost ALL the time, regardless of injury. They would just tape it up and hobble around as best they could. They wanted to play. The coach was the only one who would stop them from playing and that was only if it would hurt the team to have the injured player on the floor.
I fondly recall Rick Robey playing an entire game with a bone sticking out of his lower leg. Didn't even tape it up. Just cut a hole in the sock to let the bone protrude. Players today? Pussies.

It just seems odd to me that Clarke is on the sidelines with Fletcher standing and jumping around the whole game yet he still can't play?!

That's the first time I've heard that angle. Interesting. I don't buy it, but interesting.
I think the difference in today’s players and Rick Robey is obvious. Robey was a 2 time All America and a 1st round pick who played 8 years in the league. He made $2.5 million total and his highest season was $450K.
Davis, Fox, Booker,KAT and Wall are making $450K EACH GAME. If it were any of us or any of our kids, we would sit out until completely healthy. Sorry that the players are looking out for their own well being, but who can blame them with all that money on the line.
Lol Clarke situation on that bench was nothing like Fletcher .
I don't remember the Robey injury, but I remember old school guys like Ronnie Lott, Hacksaw Reynolds, Willis Reed. Dude's who actually thrived on competing. Today's players receive better strength & conditioning training, better skills coaching and better nutrition plans, but are absolute pussies when compared to dudes from the old school.That's nothing, seems like some of this year's squad has played while in a coma.

Regardless of why Clarke isn't playing, if he is not returning next season then it is really is for the best that he doesn't try to play again for UK. He would be doing the team a favor.

I have to admit..I have very impressed with the way Clarke twirls the towel over his head while standing and cheering on his brothers. I would have to rank him in the top 5 and give him 4.5 stars as far as bench cheerleaders go..
I know right. It's one thing if it's something really embarrassing or life threatening. Clearly it isn't either one of those things. Is it really that intrusive for us to know if it's a high ankle sprain or his knee needed scoping or he has a badly pulled hammie? Could there be at least a little common sense used when determining what fans need to know and what they don't? Instead of just keeping everyone in the dark.
I think you might be onto something here. I’ve read on here that Clarke was a part of the whole Fletcher fiasco. I don’t know the specifics on the incident. I have had too much going on at home, and didn’t have time to look it up. The wife keeps me hoppin’.
That was the first year, right? I think that was the midnight call. Still, he came back. And the other guys, they all eventually came back.
I do find it odd that these take so long. And I do think Cal is VERY conservative on making sure his guys are fully healed as to protect their futures.
Most games, Clarke can be seen going wild on the sidelines when our team is making a run. IDK, if Cal put a top10 draft prospect in Timeout for the rest of the year.. I'd think he would have left by now. Fletcher doesn't have many options, but Clarke does. If he had a problem with Cal, and Cal is now taking it out on him, just can't seem him sticking around.

Him and Brooks are prepping for the draft together according to the Rafters insiders. Wait Brooks came back games ago and is playing? Hmmm
