I will watch. As much as I hate seeing the losses pile up, the worst part is that it barely looks like basketball most of the time and the are not improving. Well they have a few minutes of decent then retreat back into terrible. Lastly I don’t feel like they are “together”.

if they were just not very good but played as a team and left all on the floor I would probably love this team.

Every team in the NCAA also had to deal with COVID. You sound like a battered wife, making excuses to stay in an abusive marriage. Cal isn’t the answer anymore.
Sure, but not all the same impacts because older teams have benefits of experience. Look across the country at Duke, UNC, UK, MSU, AU are all having struggles because they are reliant on younger players. All of those teams have good coaches and past success, but are struggling this year for similar reasons.

Sure he is. The only better options would ne Donovan or Wright. Both have passed us up before and aren't coming now. I'll stick with what we have and be damn happy about it. If in a normal year he has a season like this, then we can talk.

I watched Purdue versus Michigan last night. We look like a freshman high school team.

That's some odd logic to say the least. Many supported UK football for decades but still demanded a better product. Many pro sports fans have supported their teams for decades even though they wanted better. Fans still showed up for BCG but wanted better. We also are having 1 bad season after a stretch of good ones, I think it's okay to still be supportive. But you sit in your corner and cry of you want.

I'd much rather be the ******* than the dumbass...
As both you should be exceedingly joyous.

I have a subscription to watch Dirt Late model racing. First race of the season is tonight in Florida. Got rained out last night.
It kicks off at 5:30. I can’t decide if I want the racing on my smart tv and game on iPad or vice versa. Cats may get the small screen. Lol

I know a lot of people think racing is boring or redneck. But you can go to any dirt track on a Saturday night. They always play the National Anthem and everyone stops what their doing and directs attention to the flag, they say a prayer, then the racing starts.

Most of these guys work a full time job then it’s like another full time job working on your car throughout the week. I know this first hand. I miss being on the track but as we get older it’s harder to dedicate as much time to. Plus it’s A lot harder to recover from pretty hard crash. Lol! It sucks getting old

Ugh. Your non sequitur has effectively ended what could have been a fun repartee.
I mean, I can't help that you can't pinpoint your own mistakes. That's on you! Just seems odd you would think someone else is a dumbass when grammar still seems to be but more than an elementary skill you possess at this point.

Any idea if UK has knelt since At UF?

Not that I know of. I think they’ve stayed in the locker room all season at Rupp during the National Anthem so I have no clue if their kneeling in there or not. Lol!
It‘s not a huge deal to me and doesn’t make me stop watching. I was just saying what happens at the race track because it’s nice to see with a prayer and it means it’s almost time to climb into that car.

My biggest concern isn’t our kneeling it’s our LAYING DOWN during the games 🤣🤣

I love how this fan base has amnesia and pretends this is “just a one off season”. Y’all are in denial. Many wanted Cal gone before the season started. We lost to Evansville last year. We’ve been trash for the better part of the last 5 seasons, with some mediocre stretches of mild success along the way. Tubby was ran out of Lexington for better than what Cal is currently delivering. Wake up!
I don’t understand people act like after 2015 (when we had a historically great season aside from not wining a title) we have been terrible.

the fox bam monk team was great to watch and had some success. It would have been nice for unc’s last shot to clang but the result of that shot should not make or break your perception of that season.

There have been times where we don’t do as well in the tournament as we have liked but we have done well in conference and been playing decent ball by the end.

you can bash this year’s performance all day and there is nothing to argument with. Just don’t think it is quite right to lump the previous years in with this one.

I think it’s a combination of things.
We are 1-4 against Kansas over the last 5 games
Got totally demolished by Duke the last time we played
Have lost our last games against UCLA, Ohio st, and UNC
So it’s been a while since we won a marquee game
Barnes and Pearl are both starting to own Cal
Evansville loss

2nd round loss to clappy crean’s bad Indiana team in 16
Lost to an absolutely terrible KSU team sweet 16 2018
Lost to Auburn without their best player 2019 elite 8

This season is the worst in 100 years and we all know most of the players will leave
so next season won’t be a great one

If you watch the good times but not the bad, you're nothing more than a bandwagon fan.

So what??? its a term (bandwagon fan) some people are smarter than others & find other things to do. So guess I'm a bandwagon fan. Big deal......

Okay...and? Rupp went to multiple NIT's, even well after the NCAA tournament started and expanded. Hall went to some. Sutton and Pitino would have gone to an NIT had we been post season eligible then. And BCG managed to get there as well. Tubby realistically should have gone to one his last years as well. Name recognition helped him avoid it. It's going to happen to matter who you are. Regardless as a UK fan, I would still watch and cheer on the team. If I can't support the program anymore, I don't know why I would consider myself a fan anymore. What would be the point?
Don’t want to nitpick too much but don’t believe the NCAA expanded while Rupp was still coaching. Only one team from a conference went to the NCAAs 16 teams in total. Comparing today’s NIT to that of the days of Rupp and even Hall is apples to oranges.

This! Cal has underachieved since 2015. His resume is nearly identical to Tubby Smith’s last 5 years, for which we ran him out of town.

The NIT was totally different when Rupp went and was way more prestigious. So you’re not being factual at all with that assessment. The NIT at one point was more prestigious and had better teams then the NCAA tournament. From 1939-1950 only 8 teams played in the NCAA tournament. The NCAA tournament didn’t expand to 64 teams until 1985. When Joe B. Hall had seasons in the NIT in 76 and 79 only 32 and 40 teams were invited to play in the tournament.

Yeah I made a post right after seeing your post about that. He’s not even in the ball park on being factual with his post.

I'll be watching again. I still have the Kittens winning in Old Reds game but that seems to be bad luck for this bunch. Anyway, I'll be watching.

Can't recall the last time I missed a game, or failed to watch the whole thing start to finish. Tonight will be no different. Still a fan. Still hope they play well and win. Go Big Blue!

I'm with you Wildcatfan. I may not care for Comrade Cal's coaching, but I will always watch the CATS, and be pulling for them. NO COACH will ever get me to turn against the CATS. Do I want Comrade Cal gone, absolutely if he doesn't change his recruiting and game plan, and realize he works for UK, not the NBA. He is NOT bigger then UK, and NO other coach ever has been. UK made Comrade Cal, not the other way around. The UK fans could see our program going to hell, even if Barnhart couldn't. You can't put lipstick on that pig!

Yea, I’ll be finding something else to do. Not wasting 2 hours on this team anymore

Watching the CATS, is never a waste of my time, never has been, and never will be. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment with Comrade Cal coaching.

Yes, we’ve had some decent, Tubby level teams with positive stretches. That’s not good enough for this program though.
