A basketball season completely devoid of any joy after a brutal 2020 is not what the doctor ordered, but here we are.

This team is an awful combination of unskilled, soft, and low IQ. Having said that, as a human being, I legitimately feel bad for the players as kids that they're struggling this much. It has to suck. This has to be so far out of the realm of what they thought was possible. And with all the covid stuff on top of it. It's gotta be brutal.

But as a fan? I'm mostly just annoyed and bordering on apathetic after a loss at the buzzer. In the past I would have had trouble sleeping after a game like this and been impatient for the next game to get the bad taste out of my mouth. I dread the next game these days. I'll still watch, but it will be out of obligation more than any sort of excitement or hope.

I've always loved Cal, but this season has put all of his worst attributes as a coach under a microscope. I don't see how this has a happy ending now between Cal and the fans. Hope I'm wrong, but things are pretty bleak.

I don't blame a single player for this year. Not a single one. No real offseason, never met each other before and player development is non-existent.

I do blame Cal for his decision to have this roster and then act like we played murderers row (which he has shut up about since SEC play started) because he doesn't want to hurt BJ or Terrence's feelings. I guess they got a better deal that Kahlil got last year.
