- I believe it was Dan Wetzel who wrote about what Chad just referenced, the fact that there's a definitive top tier of Bama/Clemson/tOSU, and said that fix is expanding the playoff to eight. As he explains, in CBB, Final Fours are almost as much of a benchmark as actual titles. And he's right....you constantly hear/read of a team being a "Final Four team". So if you increase that aura of being a "playoff team", it might help spread some of the recruiting mojo around. Those three will still be in it, most likely, but at least you mix in a couple other conference champs, a Group of 5, etc. It certainly can't hurt.

- The kneeling has been covered ad nauseum, so I'll only add this...it doesn't bother me, but wouldn't it help the cause if they knelt during a point when people are actually watching the game? How often is the national anthem actually shown? Before the national title game is the only instance I can think of. I mean, I *get* the symbolism of doing it during the anthem, but still...a couple of Big Ten teams knelt right at the tipoff a week or two ago...when eyeballs are actually watching. Seems like that would, practically speaking, be a better way to draw attention to what you're trying to express. Plus, it reduces the number of people who are offended that it takes place during the anthem. Anyways, that's how this white, 46-year-old failed comedian sees it.

- Condolences to Dan Wolken on college football having a legitimate national championship game last night.

- A store that I can always spend an enjoyable 30 minutes wandering around in....World Market.

- Oldest kid is getting letters from colleges probably 4-5 days a week now. Every time I got a letter from any college, THAT'S where I was gonna go. I can even remember the first three I heard from....Ithaca College(?), Evansville, and Syracuse. Kept them all until I moved off to school. The kid tosses 95 percent of hers. I don't get it. Maybe I was/am weird.

- Oscar Tshiebwe. Mario Cristobal. Kirstie Alley. Global wrrmng.

- I'm buying a new silverware tray at lunch today. I have also started putting a space after the dash preceding each of my randoms. It's the little things, guys.

-really tired of alabama...but a 6 game regular season team didn't belong in the playoffs. After the hoops the big(?) jumped through to assure OSU's spot watching them get destroyed was nice.

-ramifications of the response to covid will reverberate for *decades*. CHILDREN/the young are being sacrificed to protect boomers/unions/play political games. Ima take a page outta SAE's book: if you support these lockdowns you're a ghoul. Own it.

You know your move and dunk is off the charts when your teammate is the one flexing afterwards.

If we win tonight, it's going to be a lower scoring grinder of a game where we have to make plays at the end. Once it gets into the 80's with Alabama, I dont like our chances.

Last night was a long night. Havent been to bed yet (work-related, not partying). The celebration stuff was going to happen- not much we could do to prevent it. All of the Dan Wolken's of the world weren't going to stop the crowds from congregating.

Being able to choke the life out of OSU in the 2nd half basically without Waddle or Smith kind of shows the embarrassment of riches that Alabama's offense had. Getting your best players the ball in so many different ways is video game football.

BTI is absolutely terrible. Not one thing that bozo has ever written has actually been worth reading.

Maybe it's totally anecdotal, but I've noticed a BUNCH of divorces this year.

What a terrible year. But at least 2021 is off to a rocking start.

-Headed over for the 9p tip tonight. 😖 At least I'll be able to have a water bottle to sip from this time.

-My Protien vanilla is a nice change from the chocolate version.

-Back was killing me yesterday, hooked up the Powerdot tens machine and did an hour and half. So much better today.

-Fish tacos last night. Blackened cod on the flat top, sautéed peppers and onions, homemade pickled jalapenos, cauliflower rice. Dope. Healthy.

-GP, I don't have a blackstone. I bought a steel that covers 2 burners on my gas range. Love it.

-PTI vs BTI fight is hilarious and easily the best thing PTI does. Didn't Matt basically defend it by saying, "yeah, well we really need someone to have a content up every morning." 😂 Can't say I've ever seen his work.

-At some point, hopefully now that we can put Orange Man behind us, we can start to acknowledge we may need to live with, rather than hide from the virus. Because I can tell you the years lost from lockdown related deaths are >>>>>>> the years lost from covid "caused" deaths. It's not even close, tbh.

Get kids back in school and give firm date on things. This pump fake "2 more weeks/ 30 more days/ first 100 days" ******** is EXHAUSTING

That's really it. I know a few aren't going to like to hear this especially during their celebration week but the attack on schools, and pandering to the teachers unions, is the most harmful thing I've seen in my lifetime from Government. We all know why it was done, fine, just fix it. We're months past breaking point and the evidence is overwhelming.

Maybe it has something to do with being forced to coup up together for months on end, true colors start coming out. I know I was quite grateful when the first lockdown ended so the lass could get back to work, was ready to pull out what remains of my hair.

Got a pretty nice deep fat fryer for Christmas. In filters the oil into a storage container when you are done with it. Although it’s cheaper, it flexes on your green eggs, flat tops, and smokers. I’m over here running a virtual fast food joint now.

People are struggling. All the attorneys on here are seeing the notices about some recent lawyer suicides. I’ve seen more self defense shootings, warning shot cases etc. this year than probably the last 10-15 years combined. People are depressed, on edge, and being pushed. It’s a disaster.
I know we have the covid thread but in response to this...once the vaccine has become available to everyone that chooses to take it, time for the governors to let go of the reins and resume as close to a normal functioning government and society as we can muster.

I get concerned hearing some of these people in control priming the pump to extend lockdown measures based on limited immunity and new strains of the virus.

Not the least bit critical of seeing those Bama fans go all Bama fan. I seriously question anyone who hasn't at least contemplated having someone with covid cough into their mouth. FFS we're nearing a year of this and enough is enough. There was never a guarantee people wouldn't die. So if it takes more people going with the f-it attitude, spreading covid and knowing it's death or herd immunity then I say let the science flow and worry about the decisions you make.

Well Wayne, I'm an idiot and never claimed otherwise. But the point remains, the vast majority of us have had that conversation either internally or with others (I like with others) about getting it and moving on.

Leaders today start with the conclusion. Changing your mind based on evidence is seen as weakness and flip flopping.
Exactly. Dig in, dig in, dig in, if it doesn't work blame the masses.

Better pick someone solid, as the Browns getting the states first playoff victory in my lifetime.

Also, part time hybrid being mandatory does little to help the folks it's hurting the most. Full time or parent elected virtual. That's what it should be and what a majority think is fair.

With Wan'Dale (likely) suiting up in UK digs next year, I feel significantly better about our WR corps. We have speed (Wan'Dale, Drennen), size (Ali), and good TEs. OL looking good and a top stable of RBs.

Biggest ? is who can toss the rock to these dudes.

This year is exhausting, we need people to go out and get drunk and get laid and calm TF down. You’d think we’re all homeless and rioting for bread the way everyone is acting. Instead we have a guy in a Volvo yelling at a guy in his 4-Runner about how awful the world is on their way to Starbucks. I mean JFC what the hell is everyone so mad about.

Shoutout Juve. Not many legends rap about black Volvos and new 4runners.

A picture perfect rap song. The fire samples, the classic piano, the gangsta *** southern voice.
