No idea. But, if interested, he could transfer and play right away given the rule change, right? Or was that to go into effect starting next year?
Wouldn’t he have to participate in a pro day before he would be allowed to take the court? Asking for a friend.

I have no doubt Boston works hard. It seems he is being lazy in that he is still doing what he's always done and not what he's being told to do. So it's not so much a work ethic thing more a stubbornness thing.

It takes some freshmen longer than others to adjust to college basketball. Players are faster, stronger, & more experienced than AAU. Good grief! He is not lazy....its just not an easy adjustment for him.

Sounds like Oscar will zoom with Miami and NC ST tonight and Illinois and UK tomorrow night and I'm guessing we will be the closer since ours is set for 900pm. Sounds like it is between the 4 and maybe TN who is trying to get involved. Oscar wants to make his decision this weekend and enroll for the second semester immediately. We finished 2nd behind WVU for him so maybe we are still right there. He would be a nice pickup and a big body at 260lns that we haven't had since RT.

Got Brooks back today and let's hope we get our 3rd straight win this weekend and continue the momentum by picking up Oscar for next season.

Hopefully 2nd times the charm with Oscar! My question is if he commits and comes would he be automatically eligible since they approved the 1 time eligibility waiver or is that next year?

Work ethic isn’t The problem Boston is having, it’s poor shot selection and lack of defense. From what the coaches say he is always in the gym.

Yah I think bad habits and lack of athleticism side to side.

Didn’t for see him having this problem but he just seems a step slow on Defense and doesn’t exactly blow by anyone on offense. Some of that is mental awareness but def think he’s not as athletic/physically ready as everyone thought.

He would be a nice addition. Would he be able to enroll immediately and practice?

It would be nice to have him banging inside with our bigs everyday in practice and would give him a head start for next season.

Wish we could return Askew, Allen, Fletcher, Toppin, and Ware and add this guy.

Mills would be nice too, but I think he goes to UNC, since he is from NC.

I think these guys you mentioned will all be back next year.

I agree for the most part. I think if fletcher gets some time on the court this year he will stay by still a good chance he transfers at seasons end. Also holding out hope Jackson comes back but I really think someone will take him in the 1st round.

If Cal thinks he can help, and the kid wants to come, then by all means. Other than Harrow, I think Cal has been really good at reading potential transfers.

If we get Tshiebwe (if we get him I suggest we call him OT or Big O) and Mills, then we could potentially have a veteran starting five for next season.

G Askew
G Mills
G Allen
F Toppin
F Tshiebwe

Allow Hickman, Hopkins, and Collins to come off the bench.

Would be nice to have a team like 19-20 that doesn’t rely heavily on Freshmen.

Also, that would be one killer shooting team. When was the last time Cal had shooters like that at 1-3 spots?

Don’t forget Ware. I look for him to be solid next year

I think he and Collins would be first off the bench inside behind Toppin and Big O.

Hickman as the reserve guard. Fletcher and Hopkins on the wings. Solid 10 deep team if it happens. 7 veterans and just 3 Freshmen. That’s more my style.

I could see Collins breaking into the lineup in that scenario, though. And based on the way Cal loves his Freshmen PG’s, Hickman might also.

I’d love to have him but he’s going to Miami. If you remember in his recruitment out of high school he has a guardian that basically called all the shots. I don’t think anything has changed.

I love Ware's potential. I also think his numbers will be very solid going forward. But I think his impact might be much more than just "solid." I think he can be a difference maker between a good and a really good team. I believe he's smart, talented, not afraid, and fights like crazy. It doesn't appear that he cares about how many points he has, and the best part might be that he looks like a team leader already. As an upperclassman, I think the rest of the SEC will learn to hate Ware.

Jack Pilgrim said a decision should be coming late today or tomorrow and it’s down to UK and Miami.

He said he would pick UK as of now but it’s a complete toss-up and several people around Oscar are pushing for Miami.
