Not immediate but why can't you understand a more mature and improved edition of the kid? I really don't get the constant pessimism of some fans.
I feel like he was suspended but that was under wraps. Just in time for the start of second semester

Is it logical we could use him injured as an excuse for the tournament and sneak in? I mean I know we aren't Duke. I mean if we had him we might still have some losses but maybe not as many. Doubt it matters to the NCAA.

I’ve avoided this board mostly recently but curious to know names of those who speculated he had some kind of illegal agent/secret transgression.
I’m sure they will do the right thing and step up and admit they were completely full of **** but I’m just trying to consolidate and expedite the process.

And you "know" he isn't great based on one freshman season? Players do improve and he did have potential. I'm not ready to dismiss him as easily as you.

Outside of Saar, he will be our best inside post player and will be more than capable of scoring in the pain and also stepping out on the perimeter.

If he plays great and the Cats win a bunch of games, the Selection Committee will take into account the team lost 6 times without him in the lineup. It won't matter if they don't win going forward, but they will consider it.

Well we’ve had crazy injury situations before. Vanderbilt immediately comes to mind. That was a rolling drama all season long in 2018.
He fit many needs for that team and was a stud, outside of shooting. Skill wise, Vanderbilt was one of my favorite Cal recruits. Just a shame we didn’t get to see more of him here.
I agree, it’s going to take a couple of weeks before we can expect him to be conditioned and cohesive with new team mates.

do we even know what the injury was? I read somewhere it was a calf strain. I had a grade 2 calf strain a couple years ago and it was brutal. 3-4 months before I could jog or run but I walked just fine. It’s a deceiving and slow healing injury
