I'd be interested in UK's record all-time when it comes to this. I don't remember Pitino's games this intricately to remember any ejections. Im sure it happened. Same with Tubby. Same with Eddie. Same with Joe B.

People are crazy if they don't realize Cal got tossed on purpose. He did the same thing last year at ARK I believe and got the same result, a win. It is Cal telling his team I'm fighting for you, will you fight and it has worked well for him when he does it. They answered and showed heart.
Do you think a cal would have played Allen as much in the two OT? Would we have won the game? Be honest. Ok

Then why not try it in one of previous 6 games?

Ok. You be honest too. Aren't you one of the guys who said we were an NIT team last year early on? Look Cal said Allen was going to get his chance and he played him early. So without Clarke and Allen hitting 3s yes I think he was going to get minutes this game. I will agree with one thing and that is I don't know if Cal would have benched Boston that much if I'm being honest. However, he finally benched Whitney last year after starting him and playing him big minutes early on. Honestly, I can't say it works out perfectly like it did because I'm not one to act like I now alternative futures like some on here. All I know is we got a win and I have been saying for weeks Allen needing more playing time so it's not like I haven't been saying Cal needs to make some changes, he does. That's me being honest.

Who knows. You could say that last year after we had lost to EU, Utah, and OHS early on. He usually only does t once a year and usually when it's a time where we need it. Maybe because it was the beginning of conference play and at 1-6 he saw it as crucial.

We lost to SC in 2014 after an ejection but that’s the only one that comes to mind
That was quite memorable, a real
low point seeing Cal so disheveled and the team who had been such a heralded recruiting class playing unpredictably. We had hit rock bottom, but afterward Aaron Harrison predicted UK would still have “a great story” at the end of it all. Was he ever right! Many see that game as a turning point.

He did it in 16 for Ulis to show he could run the team by himself aswell. That was strictly for Ulis stock going up and a chance for the kid to make some money.

Speaking of ulis....
All of our fans that are so down on cal right now I want you to take a second to think about something.
How many coaches do you do know of can take a new team and have some of them looking like seniors by the end of the year? I know ulis was here 2 seasons, but look at the finished product he was when he left. He looked exactly like a senior leader and it was all in one season of starting. There's several. Murray looked like a 4 year starter, Fox, Pj, KAT.
Sure they were talented but alot of it has to do with how cal goes about coaching from beginning to end of 1 season. It's remarkable

I remember him getting tossed really early at SC one year and we lost that one . Made big comeback but fell a point short
I don't remember that. Do you know what year/team that was?
He got tossed at South Carolina in 2016, but Ulis and KP coached a comeback win.
Same thing as last night, as soon as Cal got ejected, we immediately devoured the defecit and surged ahead.

I'll have to look it up, I don't recall that one.
I actually had my timing mixed up . He was ejected in 2014 but that was with about 10 minutes to go in game. He also got ejected in 2016 but that was in first three minutes of game .

We won the 2016 game, that was the game where Ulis took over the offense and KP coached the defense.

You are right though. Here is a highlight video from the '14 game. You can see Robic coaching at the end of the game.

Not sure why so many don’t understand this it’s a proven fact when coaches get T’d up and especially tossed many times the team rallies together. It ain’t rocket science.

Cal deserves much criticism for how he’s handled this season, including his unwillingness to play Allen up until last night. I even think it’s valid to say that if Cal hadn’t been tossed Boston would’ve played more. Plenty of legit criticism don’t need to go looking for made up nonsense.

While in most situations, I wholeheartedly agree a coach/ manager getting tossed is calculated strategy to rally the troops, last night didn’t feel that way to me watching the game. Just like Arkansas last year, the team played different last night. They seemed more relaxed with less sloppy mistakes once Cal was gone.

I remember when he got tossed in ‘16 when we were getting jobbed badly and the team blew out SC. That felt like a rallying cry, defending the coach type of game. I still remember Jamal Murray holding back Cal after his second ejection.

Oh please.. just stop with that nonsense. Everything Cal does is self-serving. If he hadn't got tossed, we would have lost by double figures!

Rick only got tossed oncetaht I know of while at UK. I was there at Memorial agianst Vandy. Thier crowd was rapacious that night, refs got intimidated IMO and gave Vandy every call. Rick was screaming at one of the refs under the basket where the benches are there and got a T. He then apparently said the magic word and got tossed. We lost the game. I don’t remember Joe B ever being tossed.

I think he knew Allen had to be on the floor down the stretch, but didn't want to be responsible for it.

3-0 and we were losing each time he got ejected and each time we made an immediate comeback. We were down 9 after the technical freebies tonight, but ate that lead up in just a few possessions.

South Carolina, Arkansas and Miss St? All on the road, correct? USC game was very early IIRC...like first couple minutes.

Arkansas game was tied...
