Again, this team isn’t good, but I actually had fun watching a game. Thanks, 2021!

I can talk myself into watching a rotation of Askew, Allen, Toppin, and Ware develop over the next few years.
The most egregious thing about Allen tonight was that he wasn't terrible on defense. He's no stopper, but he works harder on D than Boston/Clarke and provides 1000% more on the other side of the court.
Gee what a shocker- not only can Allen shoot the lights out, but he was fine on D, rebounded well and stretched the court because teams had to respect his shot. And we put up a respectable 21 threes and the world didn’t end.

Look - he got tossed purposely. Oldest motivational ploy in basketball but it works a lot of time. Not sure why of all things he’s catching hell for that.

If Askew stays 3 or 4 years, we’ll love him. Same with Ware. They both should. Will they? That’s always the question. I’ll tell you this - seeing 5 relatively unheralded dudes out there stealing a win sure did feel great.
More obvious every day Boston did ZERO to make himself better joining that Bronny James clown show. He’s garbage.
To be fair that was quite possibly the worst call for Cal to “try” to get the hook from. A carry violation, lol. I’d say he was looking for an excuse to get out of there so he could change into his sweats.

You know I really hated that Allen had been put in a bad situation this week with Cal' s "you're gonna get your chance now", like he was being set up to fail. But g- damn it if he didn't fu@king shine.
God forbid we play Allen and Boston together and maybe let the shooter create space for the driver.
I hope this team rallies around Billy Joe Allen. He makes it easier for everybody. We’ve never seen lanes that wide. If BJ accepts his new role, he might even see some shots drop off wide open looks.
