It’s a lot different when the head coach of your program is saying things of that nature publicly. It’s definitely not making things better. Blaming the fans publicly for this seasons “hard” schedule is ridiculous too. Is the University of Kentucky paying anyone on this board 10 million a year to coach this team?
He’s been alluding to trolls in the fan base the past couple of weeks and blamed the fans publicly for this seasons schedule. Then he makes a comment about “true fans”. Not hard to connect the dots on that.

That’s part of it. I can agree that’s an aspect to point out, but it’s a bad look when he’s blaming fans in a mocking tone of voice, over a schedule that he made. It doesn’t help when he keeps talking about trolls for weeks and then throws out a statement about “true fans”. He’s adding fuel to the fire, IMO.

He knows you all in years past worshipped him, but now the devil's tricks are coming through and the simpletons are seeing through it. He disdains us. This program has won with every coach except 2. This program consistently finds winners bc the fan base does not accept mediocrity and holds the administrations feet to the fire which forces them to open the checkbook to continue to put the best staff in place. If this wasn’t the case, Tubby would have retired here and/or we would have given Billy G 4-5 years.
There are multiple ways to build a program. Sure, nobody can do it Cals way as good as he can.We wouldn’t have as many NBA stars come through the program. But 2-4 year guys (which is where CBB is heading bc the G league and NBA rule changes combined w the transfer rule)...There are coaches who could keep us in the top 15 yearly while having guys that have pride in the jersey and a coach that also respects the tradition and fan base (how Cal did when he was first hired before he went all in w the NBA mantra)
With our resources, there are multiple coaches who would kill for this job. Almost any guy who is consistently hitting the E8 at their mid tier school would consistently hit have F4 caliber teams here w the resources, facilities, recruiting budget, fan support, biggest media beat in the country.
It’s just about finding the personality fit that can handle all that comes with it and not crumble.
With all that said Cal deserves a couple more years to adjust (he won’t) Bc it would be terrible PR to fire after one bad year. I hope he adapts and evaluates himself but the reality is he likely leaves on his own within 3 years.

Bingo. It's funny, because he pretends he doesn't read anything or know anything the fans say. He knows and hears. Lucky for him that fans are only allowed in very small numbers to Rupp this year. He would hear it then for sure.
He’s lucky this team doesn’t have to play real away games with fans. They would crumble with some of the environments the past teams have had to play at.

Sorry but I cannot see any way, shape or form for that to be an insult to any true UK fan. Yeah, I am cheering them on! What is the alternative? Booing them into the ground? Bashing them publicly? I will cheer for them to turn this around. I will cheer for them to win the SEC. I will cheer for them to win the last game of the season even if they are 0 and 25 or whatever.
Any of you "true fans" want them to lose the rest of the games? If so, go cheer for another team. You aint a real fan.

I was a UK fan before he was born.
Cal is not the answer to what he’s become. Just isn’t going to happen.
I thought because the young kids wouldn't have to play in front of large crowds on the road that they would be ok. However, I didn't really consider that their own coach's constant screaming in empty arenas would be more harmful to them than hostile crowds.

I don't know of any school that cares about it's sports, that would be ok with being 1-6. Nothing wrong with having questions or criticizing some things.
