Bama football and UK basketball is like comparing apples and oranges to me.

These sports in general are such different animals, even the types of student athletes they get seem very different on average.

I do agree that Saban has been better about changing with the game than Cal has been.

I think so.

We have the best QB in the history of the game and they are playing pretty well.

We should beat the Lions and Falcons to end the regular season and make the playoffs, after that who knows?

But I have a bad feeling if/when we end up in the frozen tundra, it’s over.

Guess what. Bama proves you can play championship level and still go pro. And you do it by taking care of each play. No self promotion. No doing things your way.

saban never adds up the salaries of his pro players. It’s not his job. Yes, Alabama is the model. They are the standard in all college sports.

Yes and players in football have to be in college 3 years before they are eligible for the draft. It makes quite a difference!

Saban sucked at Alabama when he first took over. Their record sucked. Cal took us to the top from day one, which looks to be his own worst enemy as we have some clowns that got fat and happy and can't make it through a 1-5 start in a crazy year without soiling themselves.

Cal sucker your not correct. Cal did not take us to the TOP until he had been here several years. WV beat us his first year. He has now succeeded in taking us to where we haven't been since the 1926-1927 team. Some of us, unlike you, expect a better job then what he is doing. Three teams have won 2 NC while he has been here. He has done no better then Louisville, or Virginia, and he has the Top recruits every year. Evidently you are use to losing!

What in the world? If Bama players could go after 1 year they’d be leaving just as readily as our guys.

They had 5 that would have been 1st or 2nd round picks return for their sr year on this team. Moses, Leatherwood, Harris, Smith and the WR that broke his ankle. They always have 2-3 draft eligible players return.

Can't compare these 2 programs. The rules are completely different.
Cal has one year to get what he can out of McD-AAs. If a couple don't pan out, the bench is very short.
We have 15 on the roster; how many played against UNC? 8 and there's no excuse not to sit guys who aren't playing well. But let them play through a couple of mistakes.

Cal thinks we have enough talent obviously. His innovation is short however.
