The team watched the movie Secretariat the night before the Wisky game in 2015.
I guess Cal had already determined that team was going to make history!
They could have had they watched game film!
He returned too quickly after surgery in October but then K bailed on his team and refused to come back after they went on a long losing streak. While rehabbing, K cut off all communications with the Duke team and assistant coaches, but still found time to meet with prospective recruits. What a guy!
One of the few people to see the reclusive coach in the past three weeks was Vince Carter, a blue-chip recruit from Daytona Beach, Fla., who visited Krzyzewski at his home on Jan. 15. "He was up and about," says Carter. "He didn't seem like a guy who has had all these back problems. He's just anxious to get back. He misses his players."
Krzyzewski will apparently have to wait until next fall to rejoin them, and how much rebuilding he'll have to do then remains to be seen.
"I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about this team's future," says Capel. "It's hard to believe, but we're 0-6 and, looking at the big picture, there's a very real chance we won't make the NCAAs."

But wasn’t his last game coaching when they were ranked #11? And Vince Carter went to K’s home lol, you don’t ever see recruits do that unless there’s a special circumstance
Thank you for bringing this up. People who have to cuss and take the LORD'S name in vain to me are not very smart. Never have understood why people have to cuss.
Bottom line is he abandoned his team, stopped communicating with his own players and assistant coaches but found time to entertain recruits.
I guess you can look at it that way but I don’t think he “abandoned” his team where he had an injury that wouldn’t let him coach to his abilities and requires him to take time off.
I don't know but UK has UNC coming up and the focus should be on this. If Cal loses that one he is 1-5 with UL coming up. He can not afford to lose another non conference game because it might knock him out of the tournament.
The SEC will not be a cake walk this season.

For one half, we let ND run any offense they wanted, unimpeded and with plenty oif open shots. At least Coach K is smart enough not to let them do it in either half of their game. We should have and could have won against Richmond, GT, and ND, if only we had played defense with energy and an edge. I want our guys to duplicate their second half effort against ND with 40 minutes of hell against UNC. We will get much better offensive flow going with that kind of very tough defense. Let's hope...
You are worried about Duke and the Cats play UNC. What is your problem. Chances are very slim we play Duke this year.

Some people. I get being positive and what. But to say we are better than Duke is crazy talk. We may end up better at some point this season. But not right now. I should probably put that member on ignore so I don't waste any more of my time on what he has to say.

Lol, I am going to go out on a limb and guess you have never actually read the Constitution or more specifically the 12th amendment. The general election is over. The electors college has voted. The 20th is simply when the terms start. It’s ovah!
