this is a direct quote from Cal following the 14-15 season

Well, how can you be about your team if you’re worried about getting players drafted? We kind of work it the other way. What are your dreams? What are you looking for? What are you trying to get out of life? How can we help you with that?
“For me, the mission for me is to be a vehicle to help others reach their dreams, to be the stone that creates the ripple in their lives that goes on and on and on. Now in our state, they want my mission to be, ‘win national titles, win national titles.’ My mission is bigger than that.”

Sounds to me winning a championship is a by product of his players success but not the priority. Seems I recall (and honestly not sure) that he made a statement along the lines of he rather have players drafted and not win the title rather than win a title but not have any players drafted. His priority is draft night, always has been. Winning the title is nothing but icing.

Winning is implied when you are getting the best players and getting them drafted as high as Cal has. You think if he came out and said winning the title was the only priority and getting these kids drafted wasn’t on his mind would somehow be better for the program? No they are practicing all year to win each and every game that is implied nobody has to tell me Cal wants to win games. It’s like going into a job interview and the first question you ask is am I going to get paid. No ****.

just because a message is out there; doesn't mean everyone follows or supports... 2020 is a prime example

HE doesn't like Cal and will push ANY narrative to justify it. You may be in the same boat, idk.

Tubby deserved to leave and so should Cal if this continues into next season...IMO

2020 is a perfect example of the masses following messages spread by authorities in the media. BLM and the virus have nearly split this country in two, or close to it. Big tech (fb, Twitter, etc) and main stream media condemn you if you disagree in any capacity. With respect, bad take imo.

At the end of the day I suppose you and I remember the backlash from Tubby leaving very differently. And perhaps your peers aren’t as into college as mine have been as opposing fans I’ve gone to school with and worked with did buy into ESPNs narrative about our fan base to which I was able to change some minds thank goodness.

And no, I don’t like Cal. But as long as he wins and maintains our position at the top of the mountain I can put that aside and enjoy watching the teams he puts together. Unfortunately he isn’t doing that right now, and he’s been letting the program slip ever since 15. I hope this season wakes him up, but looking our decreasing success rate over the last 5 seasons it’s hard for me to say he will.

that's fine, that is why I said you MAY be in the same boat.
I don't like the direction either...he needs to make some serious changes.
It's similar to Stoops for me... I don't want either guy gone; I want them both to wake up to their flaws (obvious ones) and make changes...
Buuuuuuuuut, my patience is running very thin.
