What is weird is that at Memphis, Calipari had roster management as perfect it gets. He always had a stable of experienced, skilled, and tough veterans that he added to every year with elite NBA talent. Guys like Dorsey, Dozier, Antonio Anderson, etc were awesome college basketball players who stayed four years at Memphis. I'd run over krazykats with a car (he's used to it) to have that nucleus at Kentucky for four years.
I know that was 10-15 years ago and the college basketball landscape has changed, but that SHOULD be the goal that we (and every other elite program) are striving for. Keion Brooks should be one of those guys like Dorsey who is here four years and then goes on to get a cup of coffee in the NBA and make bank overseas. And we ought to have a roster full of them -- Hagans, Montgomery, etc.
Yet UK fans are treated like we should be elated that Keion Brooks humbled himself to stay for his sophomore year when the rest of his goofball teammates left before they could hone their decent but not great talent into tough, veteran college basketball players and actually win some real games in a Kentucky uniform instead of playing for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
