KU gonna make me some money. I will gladly lose for a UK win but at this point I cant pass up easy money.

How? Does anyone know how they make these lines up? I mean, there is no way you can watch KU play Gonzaga to within 10 points on a neutral floor, then watch UK struggle and lose to Richmond in Rupp and come up with a line like this.
Strange.

As you probably know, Vegas doesn't care who wins or loses. They care where the money comes in.
Absolutely. That spread will shift. I didnt watch Kansas play at all so I dont know how I actually feel about it. It does feel a bit like a bait spread.

How? Because Vegas is smarter than the 20 or so forum hand wringers here.
We'll see about that on Tuesday night. Sorry, I don’t see it. I think KU wins easily, but hopefully Vegas is right.
I know KU doesn’t play D very well, but it doesn't take a tough D to halt our offense. We can't shoot free throws, can't shoot threes and we turn the ball over too easily.
Our defense isn't in sync yet either.

I never said we're going to win.

Like you said, there are concerns. Kansas has several returning players and we're a mish mash of talent.

Not sure why we assume were going to win every game. Are we playing a top25 team? Yeah? Then we might lose.

Very common for young teams in any sport to play to the level of their competition. Play well against top teams, play down against lesser talent.
Yep. Absolutely will not shock me at all if we win Tuesday night. You've hit the nail on the head here.

Cal always has the team ready for the big games. We lose 1-2 games against teams like this every year.

Man this is not the year for 100% roster turnover. 2nd game is against a senior laden tournament team and 3rd game against KU in an already shortened season. Good lord, hope we get it figured out fast or we’re looking at a lot of early losses.
its not a real season and it will probably be put out of its misery

I think only a fool would gamble any substantial amount of money on this one, or any college basketball games (especially Kentucky) at this point in the season. Completely unpredictable. A gambling win would be no more than a lucky guess at this point.

Should be a good game and could go either way.

I think KU has a little more experience and this time of year, that really matters.

I look for KU to pull out a close one against us. We are going to take some lumps early in the season.

I think we will be a contender come March.

Means people must have been starting to bet a lot on Kansas?

No, it would imply that most people bet on Kentucky, so they moved the line in order to attract more bets to Kansas. That assumes that Vegas wants a 50/50 split of the money on Kansas and Kentucky. If the public is heavy on Kansas and the line doesn't move and/or moves in Kentucky's favor, that is a very good sign that Vegas thinks Kentucky will win.
