Like Cal said in that interview clip. Folks complain about playing too many cupcakes. Well, you asked for it and you got it. Richmond is a legit team and those same folks will whine about losing.
And I see someone has been sipping too much calipari Kool-aid.

I watched Askew play once in high school and he absolutely got destroyed by a little 5’9 dude. And I was thinking to myself “ what the heck does Cal see that I don’t?”

Not a great athlete. Doesn’t have a great handle. Looks unsure and wants the ball out of his hands quick. Mintz definitely the better option.

Total system's failure:

21 turnovers
37% FG's
60% FT's
0% from 3P FG's

We won rebounds by 23 and still lost this game by double digits. We played absolutely awful.
We had 21 turnovers? Omg I did not realize that. You could’ve said we had 41 and I would’ve believed it. Low energy, very lil fight but I really hope they just thought this game would be a cakewalk because if they took it serious and this is the outcome then Kansas will steamroll is.

I don't know that Kansas is as good as Richmond but they will beat us pretty easily as well. We are very easy to defend and Kansas is much bigger and more athletic than Richmond.
I doubt it. In usual Cal style, we will lose at home to a mid major then go on the road the next game and beat a powerhouse program.

I think he intentionally makes us lose a game early on to avoid the 40-0 talk.

As I posted earlier, our teams the last few years have been very fundamentally poor. We’re always young because that’s how the staff runs the program. Lack of shooting, poor defense, turnovers always seem to bite us lately. I have no idea what we practice.

we need cal to convince these second rounders to come back, he’s not gonna win a title without experience. Period.

Trust me unless a miracle happens between now and Tuesday we are not beating Kansas. This team is in dire need of a floor general. I wish Cal let Mitz play a little more because I don’t think Askew is ready. Cal was hell bent on playing Devin.

So maybe just maybe by March we will be competitive. How awesome would it be just one year that we didn’t start out sucking so bad. This year may be the biggest suck of all. I don’t recall a team playing like this besides the 2013 team. This is very troublesome. We need a point guard in the worst way.

Sarr played well. Besides him. Nothing but garbage play.
