Gotta say Gonzaga looked like men, looked tough and physical, even that freshman suggs kid looked like a killer. We have length but a lot of our length is 150 pounds wet. But hopefully our young guys can grow into men by March.

Gonzaga is legit . Kansas played a fair amount with 5 guards/wings on court . Was good to watch

Idk.. getting 90 hung on you by a good, but not great Kansas team, a team that's void of top talent and still very inexperienced.. doesn't impress me too much.

Still, you can pencil in Gonzaga as a #1 seed.
You realize Kansas lost 50% of our scoring from last year and 100% of our post defense right? This was our first game of the year trying to figure out a style of play and a rotation. We have plenty of talent and yes, McCormack is included in that assessment.

Gonzaga looks legit, but who knows what they’ll do in the tournament. The easy schedule usually bites them in the end, but they seem more athletic this time around

Easy schedule? Huh?
Gonzaga played #9 Kansas and will play #2 Baylor and #5 Iowa.

Suggs was a top 5 player in class may be higher..He put on a show against BJ Boston and his Sierra Canyon team...he's a player the Zags have never gotten before. Makes them a legit F4 team

They had guys score 23, 24 and 25 points. That’s insane.
In all fairness, KU played hardly no defense. Neither did Gonzaga with KU scoring 90.

I like our defense already. Much faster defensive learners than some of Cal's past young teams. And although they slowed down against that zone, they still managed to break it down, very unlike nearly all of Cal's previous young teams.

Any word on when the sanctions come down for your shameful cheating? You know. the five Level 1 charges by the NCAA? Oh, and congratulations on getting rid of De Sousa after his latest assault arrest. He'll eventually kill someone, and probably best if not on the roster at that point. You must be proud of the program.

Yeah, they have been creeping in to the big time recruit game the past few years. Started with Zach Collins and Suggs is a stud. Add this to continuing to get international players ahd top level transfers and they will continue to be a legit threat.

Yeah, their 2 Elite Eights and 1 Runner-up in the past 5 tournaments isn’t legit at all.
Nope, getting high seating's helps. But, they are noted for choking when it gets tight. A weaker schedule as noted earlier will do that to you.

Gonzaga is really good. As for the "who knows what they'll do in the tourney---easy schedule..." That ship has sailed. Gonzaga has the nations longest consecutive SW 16's at 5. During that run, they have wen to 3 Elite 8's, FF and a title game. No doubt the Zags have benefited with their conference schedule...But Few has beefed up his talent, and his OOC sched: Last year they played Arizona, UNC, Washington and played in the Battle for Atlantis(played Michigan, Oregon) . Also played at Texas AM.

Its early, but the Zags were really impressive today.

Meh, they are 5-3 against ranked teams and 6-3 in games decided by single digits in those 5 tournaments. I think it’s a popular narrative based on some years of being bounced early. They are a legit program now and have had good success over the past 5 tournaments.

Maybe, just got tired of the hype years ago only to see them go under. I like Few and would not mind having him here if Cal left but, my post was more in support of the weaker scheduling comment and the generous seeding because of record. Many on here complain yearly because of our seemed slight in the seeding process each year. Mostly legit and it does affect your tournament results at times.

Zags will be a tough out. Kansas hung with them the majority of the game. Cats need to come ready to play Tuesday. Won’t see 100 points scored either way Tuesday

I think if they didn’t succeed in the tournament (like 15 years ago), it would be a legit beef. I totally agree that when they went from Cinderella to legit seeds back in the days only to get knocked out early, I was tired of it too. They are a legit program with legit talent (putting guys into the NBA) and have as a good of a chance as anyone in recent years.
