- Reached out to BKH via email last week. The kid is doing fine and told me that although he’s moved on to a wonderfully successful career, he’ll always have a soft spot for the crew and he’ll be a GYERO-er forever. Go ahead and put him in the category of former posters who got above their raisin’ I guess.

Also, he mentioned how the Evansville game broke him. Noteworthy as we prepare for the Morehead matchup this evening.

- #PartyMixSzn I made a huge bait of mix last night. 3 gallon roasting pan full of corn/rice/wheat Chex, sour dough pretzel bites, “luxury” mixed nuts, Cheerios, and a new ingredient- oyster crackers. Stick of butter, bottle of worsheshesheer sauce, slap yo mama seasoning, garlic salt, black pepper, kosher salt, a touch of cayenne . . . Bang.

- I guess things are darkest before the dawn. We’re about to head into the Kentucky gray season.

- I finished up Breaking Bad! Season 4 may be the greatest season a television show has ever had. Season 5 was also great, but Season 4 is the pinnacle of television. On to Better Call Saul now, which also shows great promise. This random brought to you by the year, 2013.

- Counting Crows had a good acoustic version of Rain King that popped up on my random shuffle station. Very good arrangement.

- Sitting here waiting for basketball. Not expecting very much in terms of a payoff. Afraid it’s going to be a throwaway year for this sport. . . not just for UK either. I’m talking little leagues, high school, college, etc. Indoor sport during the winter with pep bands and student sections and close confines all while the nation is experiencing a spike in cases. Going to be tough to get in a season unless a bunch of teams are isolated inside a Disney resort for 3 months.

- We’re supporting a friends’ catering business and have outsourced all Thanksgiving cooking to them. It’s just our immediate family, my parents, and my MIL. But, I wanted the variety of a normal feast, so we ordered way too much - thankfully.

- Can’t wait for the Thanksgiving Zoom calls experience on our 120” Orwellian telescreen. Should be surreal.

- Jerry’s Jughouse is putting out some fine artisanal meals in their time of need, and we’re ordering them every night we can... along with lots of vino #sheeesh.

- How much LEGO is too much LEGO to order for two kids’ Christmas? (((Trick question - there’s no such thing as too much LEGO.)))

- Cable management raceways and hole saws: a quick hitter combo for home improvement satisfaction.

I was looking forward to watching some nerdy youtube video about cable management solutions and instead was "treated" to a ******, ****** Radiohead song (which is redundant since all Radiohead songs are ******).

Thanks Joey!

* I put off making my Deep Dish of Spite until today. I get done working at 2:00 so that's when the sauce is being made.

* My neighbor has hanky banks & smoked wings and his wife and kids are gone for the day so that is where I am heading for the basketball game.

* If my krazykats goody box arrives before then, I am looking at a near perfect Thanksgiving Eve post Drawbridge Era.

* I dig the Counting Crows. Good storytelling in the songwriting, IMO.

* Can't wait for my kids to go back to school on Monday. I feel for you people who are doing the virtual thing year-round.

* ***** Bus 20/21 is tuned up and ready to leave the garage.

Felt like ish Saturday thru Tuesday. Negative Covid test result last night, but not before cancelling Thanksgiving on everyone (we were planning on hosting 9 adults and 6 kids under 5). We're still going all out. Kids won't eat any of it yet, so it's just the two of us to share the bounty.

Deviled Eggs w/ candied bacon (no way there are any left for the actual meal)
Rolls (Rhodes Texas)
Alton Brown's City Ham
Ina Garten's Roasted Chicken - the carrots that caramelize underneath in the chicken fat are 100
Turkey is garbage unless deep fried and we aren't going through the effort, get over it
Sweet Potato Casserole (Pecan Streusel)
Broccoli Cheese Casserole
Green Bean Casserole
Mashed Potatoes with Brown Gravy
Cranberry Sauce (from scratch, not the canned trash, which I also love)
Brown Butter Bourbon Pecan Pie
Pumpkin Pie

Gonna finish off the OF1910 and 1920 bottles too.

I made the brown butter bourbon pecan pie this morning before work. Looks trophy worthy and smells even better. Had to set the standard high for the wife before she started the real work. Been going strong in the kitchen all day.

Counting Crows are extremely okay.

Cats by 12 in an ugly one tonight.

Going to a pot-luck Thanksgiving with a few other growers.

Broccoli Casserole with a couple bottles of Old Grand-Dad should be a good offering.

They know I got that broccoli, that is why I keep that Glock on me. Coming from where I'm from, don't get caught without one.

MF'ers stay trying to get your broccoli. Before careful out here, times are hard.

Are your serious Clark ? Morehead State, w/o their best player and we only win by 12 ????? BS. Cayuts by 21 Bigguns. You got the numbers backwards.

John Wall's next three years $132 million is as bad as it gets, even if he didn't miss the last two years. 30+ year old PG with bad wheels. Speed and athleticism where his two biggest advantages. Paying him on average of over $40 million per year if he was 110% healthy would be a bad investment.

I think the worst signing this year was Gordon Hayward. I mean he is "OK", but what exactly does he do to command THAT kind of money ? He is a slightly above average NBA player before the broken leg a couple years ago. He played on a MEH Utah team and was THE MAN and parlayed that into being seen by some as the modern day Larry Bird (he ain't). How he and Kevin Love keep breaking the bank I will never know.

That overhead view of the court posted above doesn't look THAT bad. Definitely not bad enough to warrant all of the "OMG we are college basketball royalty, we deserve better than this ****" bad. Just your typical over reacting, drama queen, over dramatic hand wringing. Hyperbole at it's finest.

-Skipping tonight since we're having dinner with some folks tomorrow that are more on the concerned side but hopefully make Sunday's game.

-I really haven't even thought about BB at all. Guess we're looking for some cohesion, a sparkle out of our elites, etc.

-Stocked up on booze. Great to see the Woodford DO Store Picks are back. Talk about a booze that will pair perfectly with Thanksgiving Dessert.

-Dropped in Brewed to support a local establishment. Lol. Good for them. Line into the parking lot. Proudly displaying their red notices. Not your typical coffee shop patrons, that's for sure. Really only 1 or 2 people eating indoor/next to a 1/4 open massive retractable garage door, the rest just waiting for coffee in a place not equipped to pump out 50+ coffees at a time. They were just giving regular coffee away free.

-Once again I'm completely annoyed and hate doing family pics until we receive them and their really great. I'm sure I'll appreciate them more as time goes on.

-Bored with Mario Kart.

-Alright, ducking out for some wine, cooking, ball, bourbon, etc.

-Thankful I had an established intranet support wildcat friend network for over a decade before this hit. Place has made an otherwise complete **** year somewhat bearable. The bickering is cathartic, for me anyway. Appreciate that, gang. Happy Thanksgiving, Y'all. Cheers.

Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit in hand, as is my Thanksgiving custom.

Hard to believe our last bball game was the comeback beatdown of Florida on their senior day. The eight plus months between then and now might as well just be a blur. Did they even happen?

Any other day of the year I’m down for Morehead, but not tonight!

John Wall will be Comeback POY and an all-star this year.
They cannot wait to run him out of the 202 with a quickness and the Bullets are likely to give up a 1st just to kick that albatross contract off their books. Add in the fans hate him and apparently his conditioning is lacking, to put it nicely. Pretty foolish bet imo.

* I think we get about 23 games under out belt before some gerryrigged delayed Madness unfolds.

* Snagged a bottle of Rare Breed today and after 2 pours in I realize Im a idiot for sleeping on this offering.

* Rupp court a site for sore eyes.
