Apologies for the utterly shameless self-promotion, but I've partnered with Wayne Turner on a podcast project and it's awesome. He's already interviewed Coach Cal, Tubby Smith and Tony Delk, and it's produced some great remember-whens and stories I had never heard. I've loved it, and I say that was someone that has been called a Kentucky-hater by these boards!!!

But it hasn't gotten the traction I expected. So if you have some time, I'd love if you gave it a listen. I really do think you'll enjoy it.

I loved Wayne when he was a player. He has been trouble since he left. I had heard stories about him and then unfortunately witnessed some bad actions by him. I will pass on anything that has to do with him.

-You need to have Pitino on, id be curious on some of his stories.

-Would also like to know how Wayne feels about being on UL's coaching staff and trying to beat UK at that time....seems like he still loves UK over everything but coaching for UK's most hated rival would seem tough at first.

OK, I must be wrong. Wayne is a great guy, but he is persona non grata at UK and Pitino got rid of him.

Again put up or shut up. Throwing out innuendo with no facts a second time makes you look even more like you’re making things up. Why not just post your story?

I have no idea what this guy is talking about, but I do know that his podcast is really good and that Coach Cal, Tubby and Tony Delk have all told awesome stories.

I'll spoil one for y'all: Before an Elite Eight game one year, Rodrick Rhodes and Rodney Dent showed up for the bus to the arena late. So Pitino waited until they walked out the door to have the bus drive away. Rodrick and Rodney had to get a ride from fans to get to the game!!!

As an aside, if you are one of the fans that gave them a ride, get at me lol.

We're working on Pitino. Iona is dealing with some COVID stuff so they've been hesitant. But when we get him you know that will be a talking point.

This is literally all I found:

following charges laid in the U.S. after police found an illegally possessed 9mm handgun, loaded with 12 rounds, in his rental car.[1] Turner said the case was eventually dismissed in 2005.[

Wayne Turner was may favorite cat from 1998-2010 when John Wall arrived. He’s still my second favorite cat ever. Met him when I was a kid and I couldn’t speak from being star struck.

Could you believe anything that Pitino said though ? I’m at that point with him .

I dont think he's a man with high morals, but he's without a doubt one of the best coaches alive....and responsible for two of our titles. I'd listen, and i bet it'd be very entertaining.

LOL... are you implying Tubby would have a ring regardless of Pitinos players in 1998?

He's been a coach for what, 30 years? With 7 or 8 programs, but the one time he cracks the final four it was all him. LOL...never mind the other 30 years, he was just unlucky.
