That Grunge Big 4 v. Metal Big 4 can send you down a massive rabbit hole. Man...
Jar of Flies is one of those rare albums where every song is fantastic. Yeah, only seven songs, but nevertheless a kick-*** album.
We were hosting a Labor Day fireworks party at our old place on Vine Street (Cote Brilliant Historic District) maybe 10 years ago when the drug dealer at the end of the street (Terrance - actually a nice guy) sprinted down the middle of the street wearing nothing but boxers and wielding an aluminum baseball bat. Right at the apex of the fireworks.
Some of our suburbanite guests escaped into the house in horror, but the rest of us just nodded our heads, continued to sip our drinks, and were like, “hey, Newport.”

Huge AIC fan. Man in the box started it for me. Rooster is incredible. The guitar solo on Grind still gives me chills, like the coldest winter will.
They definitely had more of a metal side to grunge.
Staley’s vocals are elite. Jerry Cantrell is solid. Unplugged should make a fan of anybody.

* Stoops is one win away from tying Fran Curci for most football wins at UK. Pretty amazing. Also pretty amazing that Stoops has been here since 2013.
We ain't particularly good this year but Stoops has built an SEC football program here, warts and all. We should not forget that.
* I'll take Touchdown Terry as the player of the game in a slugfest win. Something like 1 passing TD, 1 rushing TD and 225 combined total yards.
One reward from fan free Augusta is seeing the entire course. Between no galleries and drones we're getting to see new angles on all these holes.
Take a look at the course on Google Earth (the iPhone app is great). It’s pretty crazy how close the fairways, tee boxes and greens are to each other.

Taking UK today, just a huge line that even for a bad Vandy team seems off with how our offense operates.

We apparently live next to a Clark Griswald, so now that I’ve seen “some” of his stuff I decided to get some exterior lights etc just to see if he goes a little more over the top. Kind of fun pushing guys like this(it doesn’t take much) and the other dads on the street get a kick out of it.
I really hope this guy comes back way over the top.

Hearing lots of buzz that Pappy bottles have been spotted in stores this week. Kinda like Bigfoot sightings to be honest. Even saw where an acquaintance of mine bought a 15 yr off the shelf at some place in Central Ky. I’m not used to hearing about this much in my area (SOUTH CENTRAL IF YA DIDN’T ALREADY KNOW!!)

Vandy’s uniforms are an ancient relic of the unfaithful James Franklin. Reminds them of their halcyon days, I’m sure.
Damn, if seeing the guys lineup with an empty spot on the line and taking the penalty for Schlarman didn't do anything for you, go climb in a dumpster. It got dusty, had something in my eye, I was chopping onions, some might even say I was accessing difficult emotions in a healthy way.

THAT BEING SAID, when I’d fire up the Tinder machine in Shreveport, probably 75% of the chicks had at least one pic of them on an ATV, holding a dead animal, and wearing their MAGA hat.
You really learn a lot about society when trying to get laid. IMHO.
